FFXV max 900p on X1, 1080p on PS4. Both close to 30 FPS

@davillain-: When in the hell did I say this gen is better than last gen? I liked last gen a lot more. My point is saying things like 2016 and consoles still sub 30fps 900p like they should magically get stronger, or ignore all the 1080p 60fps games is beyond stupid. Like a statistic said most pc gamers are on rigs weaker than X1 and PS4. PC elitists are fucking dumb.

Who wants to bet that there will be either:

A) A Further delay and the game will release in 2017

B) Despite telling us the reason for the delay is to avoid a "Day 1 patch" there will be one anyway. (Basically they lied to us and were full of it)

30 fps isn't bad. With consoles, you can't always expect 60 fps like Doom. 30 is actually very normal. As long as it's still 1080p, I don't care.

But its not. It will be 900p to 1080p. There will be times you're looking at lower resolutions.

That's fine. As long as you know that you're not looking at pure unadulterated 1080p. I'm looking forward to the X1 version myself.

It's a jprg..not a shooter. Relax there guys. My Ultimate Collectors edition for ps4 is ready. To me FF belongs on Nintendo and Sony. Just the way I feel. :D

That explains how people get photo mode confused in UC4. Photo mode doesn't use the motion blur filter. It doesn't feel right without though.

Lol 765p and less than 30FPS on X1? They should've just skipped the console and instead focused on the PC build.

What moron would knowingly spend $60 on the inferior XB1 version running at 765p/less than 30FPS?

Whats wrong with people? Both versions are going to be crappy. So, arguing over which version is crappier seems rather pointless.

You realize that both versions are weak right? You trying to talk up the PS4 version when we're looking at 900p and 25 fps? Its like talking trash and waving banners for moped drag races.

It seems people did not read the OP. Tabata is talking here about the current state of the game. They have not finished optimizing the game.

Resolution is whatever, but struggling to hit 30fps, especially in the first main line FF game to have full on real time action combat, kinda fucking blows.

Not sure if this even matters though. The games probably going to suck anyways. The kind of shit that 4k@120fps can't fix.

I don't think we'd have nearly as many problems if they went with turn based battles. SE really overestimated this gen hardware (and the PS3s hardware)

And people are taking it as concrete facts on how it will run upon release, and moaning about it repeatedly. Never seen such a group of babies and whiners in all my life.

@quakeknight1991: I doubt there's going to be some magic fix. This'll still be 30fps with dips. The game has had nothing but trouble since it's inception.

I may be wrong here since I am not really knowledgeable about game development but from what I hear optimization is done at the very end of the development cycle. But yeah it is going to run at 30fps. The people who have been following this game should know this since Tabata made that pretty clear since the Duscae demo came out. And lets be honest if you are a console gamer it should not bother you that much since nearly every open world console game there is runs at 30fps. Whether its framerate is going to have dips that is something that is left to be seen.

I'm not entirely sure myself, but I fully expect there to be dips. Like you said, it's on of those things that remains to be seen... But everything about this game has been a hodge-podge so far. Which sucks, cos I really want iy.
