Titan!!!
classic summons are back
Next up i want to see Shiva,Ramuh,Bahamut and Alexander
I like how it channels so much of FFXII. Thats a good thing, FFXII has aged like fine wine over the years and is increasingly more appreciated as time moves on, and rightfully so. Though I do hope they listen and bring us FFXII HD with the "International" version as the basis. The changes made in that version to the license board and adding another playable character sound terrific.
I don't care for Cidney. I'm not like that hypocritical manipulative two faced lying femnazi harpy who thinks no woman in a video game should be sexy in any fashion, but her outfit really is kind of stupid, blatant fanservice that looks out of place and unnecessary. I also hate her painfully exaggerated southern accent. That alone would make me use the Japanese language option on the full release if indeed they are able to keep that in.
Oh great, another unplayable Cid. And the cleavage feels so forced its not even sexy. Theres no way Anita allows that character to see the light of day anyway.
Doesnt really matter because its obvious this is another story driven NOT character driven Final Fantasy loaded down with overwhelming George Lucas special effects.
It never ceases to amaze me that people put in charge of a video game that costs tens of millions to develop can fail at the absolute basic levels of story and gameplay design.
Yes her clothing is really shitty but what do you mean the story will not be character driven? That their existence is not important? That they will not grow and evolve through the game? Because there is a point to why all the main cast are males and friends. According to old Nomura interviews their relationship is central to the story-line and to how things will unfold.
In the trailer all these big events are happening and the main characters are nowhere to be seen.
Basically, in Final Fantasy VII the main characters are blowing up the reactor. In Final Fantasy XV, the main characters hear about a reactor blowing up on the news. They react to events, they dont trigger events.
Oh man i want it to have a Romeo and Juliet type of story!! a lot of people been guessing it will be like Romeo and Juliet since the day the game was announced ( well when Stella was first shown ) ( Noctis and Stella )
So far what i can tell from everything shown is that Noctis is a prince ( every trailer shown so far shows that Noctis is a prince and all his companions always calling him prince ) and from old trailers Stella was shown to be a princess of some other area so maybe two districts or two different families fighting against each other?
RELEASE THIS NOW!
I can still remember when SE Made good games, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 1-6, and Xenogears. It amazes me how far a company can fall. Sad really. I wish SE would make ff 16 with SNES 16 bit visuals but actually make a good game with it. Now that would be worth buying.
Why ride a chocobo when you have a Rolls-Royce to drive around in?
On "Cid"ney: Nobody in their right mind would work on a car in a midriff-showing, cleavage-popping, heeled-boot wearing outfit. No one. And I like gratuitous female sexuality in games.
As for the rest of the trailer: I really wish Square Enix would just invest a small portion of their CGI and production value budget into a good writer and voice actors. The scale and grandeur of the trailer is ruined by the mediocre voice work and terrible dialogue (what little there was was awful, even if just tiny snippets).
As for my overall impressions, this trailer does a lot more for the game than the previous one with the wandering around did. It showed direction, and gave a reason to go out on the road in the car. Now, the combat still looks janky as hell, but if it's anything like Kingdom Hearts, then I'd be interested in playing this.
If it is in any way automated for the player character, then I won't be even remotely interested. I lasted through about an hour of FFXIII (and I am pretty easy to impress when it comes to story and characters) and couldn't stand how automated the combat was. At least in earlier FF games, you had to input all commands to the party to make them do things. I'll stay far back from this one until actual impressions for the game come out in it's final version.
I think the game looks like it could be great but some things are disturbing to read. Some comments make it sound as if they're fucking years away from being done.
Edit: And for some reason, some like to hate on girl outfits. A looot of girls dress like this in real life so I don't really see the problem...

Chocobos will be used to reach places that are otherwise off-limit on foot or car and to find secrets. They have not given any examples of such scenarios though.
Cidney looks silly indeed. Especially for a woman it's kinda funny she doesn't care about her skin, which only helps to make the pander be so clear you can almost touch it. Why couldn't they have her covered while fixing the car to then when she's talking to the guys maybe she removes a part from the top to expose the must desired cleavage? Now this would have been believable instead of ridiculous like an anime. Because is not just about how she looks but the lack of context.
Combat is completely new and designed (or being designed) by Tabata from scratch. It's nothing at all like Kingdom Hearts anymore because as the info I posted in the OP, the combat will offer a parry/counter system based on timing. Special combos will be based on timing. Rare weapons might use more than one button and have special properties. Team attacks are based on context. Etc. Kingdom Hearts on the other hand has always been nothing but a mindless button masher that after so much criticism finally adopted a cool-down mechanic but the gameplay's still just as mindless even if it's not a button masher anymore.
Actually, the story looks way more like Hamlet rather than Romeo & Juliet.
I'm going to wait for reviews. I'm not going to fall for pointless Final Fantasy hype again. That is how they suckered me into 13.
How things have changed the game was announced years back with no news, all we get was soon.
Now it seems all the news are coming out at once. the game looks great but the ENG voice acting no much. I hope they allow the western copies to have *** with ENG subtitles.
Played FFXIII didn't like it yet had to finish it & didn't bother with its sequels. which amaze me that Square decided to make a Sequel to a game that didn't get well recognized by majority of fans

Says the guy who never studied or read Romeo & Juliet and Hamlet.
Edit: Wikipedia does not count.

The problem with having a dual-audio option is the lip-sync. Having both English and Japanese voices would require there to be two versions of the animations, one with Japanese lip-sync and another with English lip-sync. In the trailer, it looks like it had Japanese lip-sync with English dub, which made it look odd. But considering how much space there is on Blu-Ray, Square Enix should be able to have dual audio with proper lip-sync for both versions on the same disc.
@Jag85: My problem isn't so much the source of story they are using, it's more the lack of any faith in SE to make such a thing work :P
Well, it's a different team from the one that made the FFXIII trilogy. The team making FFXV has a better resume than the team that made the XIII trilogy.
