FIFA '14 on PC won't be powered by Ignite, only Ps4 and XB1 versions will.

you're stupid for saying their not real games when sports games probably make up a huge % of the markets sales.... and i have been games for almost 20 years and the sim & managing aspects in games such as fifa keep me addicted for months as well as gamers from all over the world... you my friend, are not that smart. you probably never even played a sport, you're just a keyboard warrior BLBxLakers24

It is no surprise as consoles have always been the main focus of sports games and we haven't had madden for years or quite a few of the other sports games.

Football (Soccer) is probably the biggest worldwide sport so it is the one that would probably sell most and that is why EA brings it to PC. But because the majority of sales come on consoles for sports titles, they probably just don't want to put too much money and resources into the PC version.

That's pretty much how I feel about it. Also, I've just always found sports games to be boring as hell. The only ones I was ever able to get into were the crazy, not the least bit realistic kinds (played the SHIT out of NBA Street Vol 2 on the PS2). I tried playing a bit of Madden... probably 08 or 09, at a friends house a few years ago, and thought, "this is exactly why I haven't played this since Madden  95."

Very true. Which is why that's not the reason EA isn't going to do it. It wouldn't be difficult. Just not cost-effective, according to their market research. They've decided that their sports games sell primarily on consoles, which is surely true. So that's where the focus will be.

That's a poor reason to buy a console.

A lot of games on the PC support game pads including xbox360 and ps3 controllers.  They even automatically change the in game controls to match what ever game pad you plug in.  Most of those also change the on screen buttons to match the controller so the tutorial is easy to understand.

Games that I am planning to play once I've finished those I am currently finishing: Metro The Last Light.

Games which I consider as all-time best: Half Life 2 (ep2 in particular), Resident Evil 4, Deus Ex, Xcom (old one), Warcraft 3, Metal Gear Solid 3, Zelda: Majora Mask, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy 6, and Dark Souls (even though I have 3 bosses to go).

I know. I have a 360 controller on the PC (along with a joystick and a set of driving wheel/pedals).

I don't mind playing sports games on my PC when it's singleplayer. But, not so with two-player. My desk is huge. But, it gets a little crowded even with just two people. So, the family room/living room it is where there's plenty of room. I rather have a console there because the controllers can be used to navigate the operating system in addition to playing the game.   

I could use a PC. After all, I have an older gaming PC hooked up to the family room TV. But, I'd need a wireless keyboard and mouse (OS) in addition to the the 360 controller (games). Plus, I wouldn't want the guys playing games on the PC because sooner or later one of them will decide to surf the web for some pr0n. Not good with our kids around. :lol:

Okay. I'd say those are games. But, I still don't see the logic of sports games not being games. They're games regardless of whether you can do it in the real world or not.

Using your logic, any game I play that have guns aren't really games because I've carried and fired real guns in the real world (I've practiced swordplay with my Saracen sword too). I've also played paintball and laser tag on occasion. You won't see me dress up as Batman or Lara Croft. Some people might. :lol: But, you get the point.

Games allow us to experience our fantasy, however artificial they are. When we play games, we want to forget about reality for a while. 

Sport games (except games like football manager) are just inaccurate digital representations of real sports.
