Currently I have to go with 360 as it has DOA4 and VF5 online.
But the PS3 is going to take that crown soon with Tekken 6 and BlazBlue Calamity Trigger. Pretty much every other fighter is going to be shared between 360 and PS3.
The Wii only has Smash. Although I'm playing it and its very good. I am not one to limit myself to one fighter a generation.
right now it's the wii with SSBB, but by the end of the year it will probably be the PS3 overall, but SSB is still my favorite fighting series by a good bit.

Basically the same though isn't the same. 360 has a very slight slight edge but it is an edge no less. It doesn't matter anyways. BlazBlue Calamity Trigger and Tekken 6 won't just turn the tables it will flip them. I don't expect SNK to avidly support the 360 like it will with the PS3 as well. I mean sure it will get the big games. But all the compliations that are releasing on the PS2 right now are only on PS2 and I expect the same thing to happen later down the line with PS3. But then again nothing is set in stone.

The only difference is if you prefer DoA over Tekken or vice versa.. All of SNK's games on PS3 and 360 are multiplat. Samurai Shodown collection, KoF: Orochi Saga and KoF: Ultimate Match are also on PSP and Wii.
IMO, I'd rather own just Smash Bros. than all of those other fighting games.. but I'm probably in the majority with that opinion. No other fighting game has given me so many hours of good times with my friends, and the best part is it never gets old. But still many people seem to like more traditional fighters better.

Dreamcast has CvS2. I also heard the Dreamcast version of 3RD Strike is actually superior to the arcade version the PS2 and Xbox have despite the fact that its not arcade perfect. PS2 has no decent Alpha 3. PS2 and Xbox have no decent Samurai Shodown V.

I said the PS2 and Xbox are the best. PS2 mainly for Tekken, Soul Calibur (sequel is on the way), and 3S. I don't like a lot of those games you mentioned, and many of them are on the PS2 like I said before.

Some website about a half a year ago. Urien's unblockable setups were taken out and Yun palm strike does a lot less damage. The only thing PS2 and XBox version have over the Dreamcast version is its faster.
