Final Fantasy 13 = Fall of Xbox 360 = Rise of PS3

Final Fantasy 13 will come to Xbox 360. However:

1) It will not go to Xbox 360 in Japan. This is very, very significant. Xbox 360 is already in a "sick" state, so when FF13 comes to Japan, Xbox 360 will constantly be on life-support. Japan is an RPG crazy country. Final Fantasy 13 looks like it is leaps and bounds better than any other JRPG at the moment. For the Japanese the best JRPG by far will be only on the PS3.

2) Final Fantasy 13 will be best on the PS3. Square said it themselves that the game will use the cell to its potential (or close to it). Because of Blu-ray disk the PS3 version will have less interuption during gameplay--no disk swapping. A game this good and this long should have as little interuption as possible during gameplay. Also, Final Fantasy has a history of being on the Playstation family of consoles. So, Cell, Blu-ray, Japan, and history will guarantee the PS3 will have the best selling JRPG if not RPG this generation.

3) By the time FF13 comes out, a PS3 will have already had a price cut, and Xbox 360's weekly/monthly sales will likely be less than the PS3. FF13 will add a ton of bricks on the fallling Xbox 360.

4) Don't forget FF13 versus, a full-blown exclusive tile on the PS3. Another ton of bricks on the falling Xbox 360.

5) Final Fantasy 13 will be a long game and, since it is so technologically impressive, will make Xbox 360 and PS3 sweat during the gameplay. PS3 owners will play the biggest Final Fantasy ever fear free. Xbox 360 owners will have more fear, wondering if their console can handle the game without dying on them (RROD and E-74).

6) Adding all of the above up = Rise of the PS3 confirmed.

FFXIII will make the near 10 million gap just ... vanish.

Ps3 is already on a little rise. However, God of War 3 will be their titel. People don't realize how big FF13 going to the 360 actually is. America alone will probably cut Sony Ps3 sales for this game by a lot.

Now God of War 3 is Sony's big one. I know ODST will sell like crazy tho. But GOW3 is the bomb :)

While I personally am getting it on the PS3, I just have to say, the vast majority of people who will buy the PS3 version already have the console. It's not like the game will instantly sell 7 million units with a console to go along with it.

I fail to see how a multiplat game that used to be PS3 exclusive will be the downfall of the 360.

yeah i agree.. GOW3 and GT series is the true system seller for sony.. and halo for xbox.. and both GOW3 and GT is not even released yet..

did he mean fall of 360 in japan only? because the japanese market is already small anyway, but i can see FFXIII selling like crazy when it comes out in japan. Over 2 million sales in the first week possibly, if you look at how other FF titles have sold 1.5-2million sales week one is quite possible.
