um wrong...they wanted to do that long before launch and when they found out a system like that would cost 2000 dollars they scrapped it long before launch and used an nvidia gpu a cheap one. Next your gonna say the 2 hdmi, 3 ethernet port version of the system was scrapped because of time constraints and NOT the fact the 2 hdmi is a useless feature no one would be able to take advantage of and the cell and nvidia cheap gpu wouldn't be able to handle, and that it wasn't the fact all so that it would have made the ps3 1000 dollars or so.

Ps3 came out a year later cause cell wasn't up to spec the yields on its first runs were so bad that only 1 out of 8 spes would work, which is why to this day they still disable an SPE so the ps3 has 7 so as to increase yields, then you have the fact blu ray kept failing in production with bad lasers and bad diode yields.

They should have waiting a year longer and used an 8800GTX instead. Then we'd know for a fact that the ps3 has better graphical capabilities than the 360 xD

Final Fantasy 13not coming to Japan is definitely huge but i don't see how it would be the fall of the 360. As it stands the 360 still outsells the PS3 monthly, but i do feel that this year Sony will definitely make up for their loss with all the great exclusives. Not only that, the Wii shouldalso see a dip in sales as well because casual gamers will grow weary of the console's offering imo.

The Fall of the 360 in Japan doesn't really concern me much lololol tbh every single rpg coming out of japan has pretty much sucked arse this gen. Square enix i'm lookin at u for letting me down TWICE!!!!! almost bought Star Ocean, but then i would have to blame myself for hating it

I can see 4-5 million users buying a 199$ 360 to play FF13, when they would buy PS3 normally

Maybe more, Sony is not just hurt by that, it lost its by miles biggest RPG, and has lost any appeal for me as a RPG gamer, i only keep it for inferior titles now, like FF13vs, Demon Soul etc

But i like inferior titles too, anything RPG is fine for me, unless it is utter garbage (like operation darkness for example)

Indeed, the huge price seems to be hurting PS3 sales,most would buy a 360 for just 199$ than spend 400$for a PS3 that does not have BCabd HD cables too, and lost FF13 as well
