Polite pass. The FF series is generally not my thing. I made an exception for FF7 Remake with the nostalgia factor and that I enjoyed the original. I plan to continue with the one or two more releases to finish that story, but I've found most other FF games to be too boring.

I heard Nathan Drake may be a playable character in this next one.

god of war and silent hill is all they need to show to get people excited. I think people are already sold.

Considering how long the last one took to make I can’t say I’m excited. The most we would probably see is a logo or concept art.

Sony would be better off showing some amazing Q1-Q2 launch games.

I’d love to see a Final Fantasy 16 so I want to believe it but I don’t know. Either way though it’d probably be a ways away from coming out anyway. Still would be cool to see something on it though.

Same here. back in the day, I played the crap out of the original FF7, but aside from FFX, just never really got into them again for some reason.

1. No character named Cid

2. Male characters aren’t spiky haired emo metro sexuals

3. Girl characters aren’t petite mousey squeakers

4. The plot doesn’t revolve around incomprehensible gaia earth spirit

5. Chocobos are extinct having been used as a food source

6. No villain who loiters around in plate armor all day laughing & shows up infrequently to defeat the protagonist then leave

7. The main character isn’t the lost prince or princess of some defeated kingdom with secret hidden power that only comes out when they’re about to die. No, this time the main character is a 17 year old dishwasher. Thats it.

You've basically described every Final Fantasy except VI, VII, and VIII. But let's actually make the main character a grown ass man for a change. Late 20s, or 30s. Enough teenage protagonists. This ain't 1992 when most gamers were 8-12 years old. Most of us who played VI, VII, and VIII are 30+ now and I can't imagine younger generations care all that much.

XII would have been there as well, but they made the worst party member the protagonist, instead of the one they initially had intended.

The FF7R team should be busy making its sequel. Luminous Productions is also working on Project Athia.

I wonder what the KH3 team is making now.

Well, they certainly know how to make good trailers, so i hope this is true for the sake of the event.

I just started playing FFXV as its on PSNow, and after playing it I came to the conclusion that Idon't want to see FF16

I want FFVII:R2 then FFVIII, FFIX and finally FFX remake.

I have also heard the rumours of the FF16 reveal. We may even get a teaser for FF7R pt 2.

Say what you like about the time it takes to make the games Square Enix are still faster than George R R Martin.
