Final Fantasy 4 After Years getting a 3D remake!!!!

The game won't be $40. Why complain?

After years came pretty close to giving me cancer.  It's dreadful.

meh. Just get the complete FFIV collection on PSP I'd say. You get the best version of FFIV on it and also The After Years. I don't know if this iOS version is adding any new content, but I will say the PSP version of the game will easily be better-looking than this DS remake, because I really dislike that blocky, chibi art-style.

That being said I did actually enjoy The After Years (the PSP version anyways). The only things that bothered me were the mostly rehashed music (again, on the PSP version), the fact that After Years blatantly stole plot points from the original FFIV, and the fact that once you get to the final chapter, any characters you don't have in the party won't gain Exp, which considering how many characters you can have by the end, is total BS. What's sillier is that in the PSP version of the original FFIV characters not in your party WILL still gain experience from battle, so why couldn't they think to add it in the other game in the compilation that had even MORE characters to choose from?

So am I the only one that likes the chibi artstyle? If theres ever a 5 and 6 remake I want them to look like that. Capitan_Kid

Dont you realize what it is? They dont make them like this for nothing. They are the closest you can get to 3D renders of what the 2D FFs looked like.

Same big heads and small bodies. I like how its super faithful to the OG way but still looks good.

SOOOO much better than the DS remakes. Not to mention the PSP collection even made spell/summon effects awesome (though I admittedly forget what they were like in the DS remake).

I'm comfused.. i've seen the Final Fantasy 4 3D on Google play for months now.. i thought it's been released...

FF has been consdierably worse since it abandoned this style of combat.

After playing 13 then went back to 4 I cant agree at all. I had way more fun with 13 combat then 4.

I personally hate this graphic style. Its one of the reason bravey default has garner no interst from me.

Only the Remake of FF VII and VIII will have a real impact (if PROPERLY made). :cool:
