Final Fantasy 7 remake is the ONLY thing that can redeem square....

The last Final Fantasy game I enjoyed was X, however even that had it's bad parts especially with it's annoying voice actors (ughh....seriously).

After that the FF series just spiraled into garbage IMO, 12 was nothing special, 13 was absolutely embarrissing, and all the VS looks like milkage. I honestly don't see how 13 and 12 (or 11) got high reviews, especially 12 because that game was so boring and you just pressed the x button.

If they remade FF7 it might redeem them in my eyes, but until then they are just not worth my time. Especially when you have Bethesda and Bioware out on the market making games that are ACTUALLY enjoyable and not a snooze fest with bad story lines and annoying voice actors. Or bad costumes for that matter (seriously they look like cross dressers, gross)

I have never liked the FF series, but my friend who loves the FF series says that he was super disappointed with 13, he would also like a remake of not 7, but 9.

If they announced it, it would come out in 2231234 or something.

If Sony funnded a Vita remake, that would be huge for SE and Sony ..... But, highly unlikely.

i want a ffx remake then a ff7 and i know the former is never ever going to happen but a guy can dream.

No thanks. One version's enough. You can already play it on your PC, PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP, and soon to be Vita. See no reason to remake it since it's so easy to get a copy of the original version.

Whilst it could 'redeem' them, think about the flipside. If they remake it and completely balls it up which I wouldn't bet against, it'll completely destroy their reputation as a developer.

How does VS look like milkage? Do you know what milking is? From what little we've seen, it looks great. Type-0 also looks very good.

You're complaining about the voice actors? Have you never played a dubbed Japanese game before? FF games usually have the better VAs compared to other JRPGs. Attacking the costumes seems ridiculous. It's a cultural thing.

No matter what you say Final Fantasy XIII was a good game and with Final Fantasy VS, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Type 0, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance off the top of my head they aren't dead. Besides they publish a ton of games.

Instead of remaking FF they should focus on bringing a fresh perpective and fresh set of feature to the FF series.

Dont understand why everybody is so obsessed with bashing Square Enix, they changed a 20 year old battle system, it was getting old.

I personally didnt like 12, but at least they tried, i loved 13, its battle system is so much better than the old one its not even funny.

No, they will not. A graphical overhaul is all that's necessary for people to eat it up. That's all they would do.
