dang, I literally grew up with this franchise. at the time, I thought ff8 was the best, but retrospectively, I think it’s 7. How about you, SW?

I want to say FF12:ZE really enjoyed that game. FF9 is also up there. I'm actually liking FF7:RE more than the original so far, but we'll see. I don't have a definitive answer but this the best I got lol
3rd person movie game where you constantly do slow walks and whole bunch of nothing, but I guess the honeybee scene really won ghost over
I had to google the honeybee scene since i had no idea what the hell its about. Now i get it. I understand everything.
nope. the combat is great, game doesnot hold your hand like sony movie games, the story is pretty good.

If i could transfer Tifa to Ragnarok, i bet you Ragnarok would be your favorite game.

Is that why you can pause the game mid battle to decide what moves you want to do? Also, If you don’t believe in handholding, why did you save your Resident Evil 2 game 50+ times 🤣

Braver ability is just enough.

Bro, Resident Evil is not even a 10 hour game and you saved 120 times?
Ghost is literally getting ganked. He should stop invading this server cuz it ain't going too hot for him.

You play movie games as well, and is ashamed of admitting it😅😅😅
Out of those I've beaten this is how I would rank them:
5. FF XIII
4. FF XV
3. FF X
2. FF VII Remake
1. FF XII

I did not expect this thread to deliver this hard 🤣
4, 6, and 7 instantly had me hooked.
9, 10, and 12 had to grow on me, but ended up enjoying them every bit as much.
Didn't like 8 or 13. Didn't play the MMOs or 15.
Used to rank them or pick favs in threads like these, but I really have a tough time separating my nostalgia with this series.
Gut reaction is usually to say 6. Think if you really dig into the gameplay, 12 is arguably the best of the bunch.
The XIII and XIII-2 were the only two I ever finished, so, by default...
I also tried playing VII numerous times get bored midway through.
I also tried Type 0 years back but never beat that one either.

I have tried the new remake twice and I couldn't make it through the force walk sequence and terrible dialogue.
Unpopular opinion, however I really enjoyed FF12. The story and characters were incredibly bland, but I really enjoyed the battle system. It does have the worst intro out of any FF game, however once you get past the first couple of dungeons the game becomes very addictive.
8 is my favorite--pretty unpopular opinion, I know. It's just so strange, in a good, dreamy kind of way.
Other than that, 6/7/9/10/10-2/12 are all solid. The older ones are cool too if you can hack it. For what it's worth, I enjoyed 13 and 13-2 as well, just not as much as the others. Haven't played the remake of 7, but looking forward to it.

Know that you're not alone on that one. XII is my favorite aswell. Hated the main character (Vaan or w/e he was called) but the rest of the cast grew on me, especially since you can swap what character you can play as. Mine was Basch). Also loved the summons designs. I sank like 150h into it. Really hooked me @ the time. It also helped me cope with a difficult moment in my life so it'll always have a special place in my heart.

the collectors edition seems overpriced just look at what you get for the extra 200 bones
@zerothehero: yes unfortunately the regular edition is already sold out and the physical edition is only being sold through the square Enix store
I remember when I first got FF7 on the PS1. I had the awesome case, booklet, and two discs (maybe more, I forgot?). I also remember not playing it even once as the very next day my older brother stole it, went to GameStop (I assume) and got a game he wanted. Good times.
Anyway, I remember playing FF7 for a short time, I never beat it. That's the theme of mine for every Final Fantasy game. I'm not sure why. :/
