For me, the best FF is 7 and my favorite is FF9. Also, for me the franchise died after 10 even though I liked 13.

Ghost sent me a private message asking me how old is Tifa? He wants to marry her.
Is he aware she’s not real?

I have no idea, but it sounds to me that he simply don't care. Give him a pillow with her character printed on it, and he's marrying her still.
Only played 13 to completion. What a disaster of a video game. I've also watched the whole playthrough of 15, and it was god awful.
Final Fantasy 11. That mmo was awesome. Nothing will compare to spending hours or days grinding for just 1 level and if you died, all that progress will lost.
Final Fantasy X for sure, my second favourite game of all time after MGS4.
FFVII gets a relatively close second place.
All others pretty much junk. Will try Crisis Core once I am done platinuming God of War Ragnarok and can finally start playing HFW, the ME1-3 remasters (thank you Sony) and Witcher 3 remaster
Happy anniversary!
My personal Best is always will be FF7, FFT and FF12. FF7R trilogy if Square manages to live up to hype will probably dethrone FF7. Remake is fking amazing and I cannot wait for Rebirth.
Oh shoutout to FF Tactics Advance and FF My Life as a King those 2 game is great!
How far has this series fallen.
VI is by far the best, all the other games of various greatness have far more narrative flaws and lacks the balance of FFVI.
Really take the X out of FFXVI and you can see what it lacks.
Something like this. Problem is it has been years since I played a few of these games. Going off memory though...
It's 10 followed by Tactics. After that it is 6, 8, then 7, 12, 9, 13, 4, 5, the rest. I still need to play 15. I put about an hour into it, but it didn't really click. Also need to play FF7 Remake.
My favorite is tactics. But if I had to choose a main line entry, probably 6. Closely followed by 4 or 7.
3rd person movie game where you constantly do slow walks and whole bunch of nothing, but I guess the honeybee scene really won ghost over
nope. the combat is great, game doesnot hold your hand like sony movie games, the story is pretty good.
Ghost is spittin' facts. FF7R has a great combat system (from the Monster Hunter combat designer), doesn't hold your hands like cinematic Sony games, and has a good story.

It's a decent combat system, its not a good action game, its not a good tactical game either, but if you want combination of both then it's kinda up there. Does it have better combat than god of war or tlou2? no it doesnt.
Probably 8.
Squall was so hunky. Played the whole game thinking I could fix him, tear down his walls etc...
@howmakewood: As a whole, FF7R's combat system is superior to both GOW and TLOU. FF7R has one of the best hybrid tactical action combat systems, striking a solid balance between solo real-time action and turn-based tactical team combat. In contrast, GOW has mediocre solo melee combat and TLOU has mediocre solo shooting. There are many games that do solo melee and shooting better than GOW and TLOU, but very few that do hybrid tactical action as well as FF7R.

Yeah there arent many trying to do it either, personally it got me through the game but would I rather have played an action game or an actual tactical one? yes
