Final Fantasy is the most OVERATED pile of GARBAGE. No it will not save PS3

Thank you my point EXACTLY. It has mainly sold to that diehard group but other then that it's not the mega selling game. Just FF7 was. But yeah like this guy says 100 million PS2 and only about 8 million FF games sold that's not a god percentage at all really. It's just that tight nit group buying the game.

So what other games sell better than? 8 million is pretty darn big. All I can think of is HALO and GTA that are the system sellers if your going by sales.

Killzone 2 has much more of a chance of flopping than Final Fantasy 13, you only have to play the last game in the series to know that.

Isn't that intent of a franchise? It's overly redundant to say that a series sells to pretty much the same people. Of course it does that, is there any series in gaming that doesn't attract many of the previous gamers that played it before?

How many other games series can claim such high sales between two releases? Not many.

Further more ,one game isn't enough to show a trend such as "declining".

Sold poorly? The game has almost sold 5 million and it hasn't even become a greatest hit yet or even been out for half a year yet(In most territories). It's a little premature to say the game didn't sell well don't you think?

The truth is there has been so many FF games and some have had good scores and some have had less then good and some have had mid range scores. So all in all it makes it an ave scoring game for the duration of the franchise.

This game is cleary the most overated game there is. And it's really not that great of a game or franchise. It's a jRPG with girly looking dudes that have bad hair days and just plain bad dialog most of the time.

Well we all know the PS3 is a sunking ship and FF WILL NOT SAVE PS3. Why you say FF has never been the highest selling game for any of the PS systems. FF games are for a certin group of gamers why yes it's a pretty big group but the TRUTH is the game itself does not set sales records. And neither does or has it ever MGS franchise just throwing that out there also becuase some try to say thats the seller to and it's really not either.

Truth be told, I have great respect for the Final Fantasy series because it's one of the few long-running franchises that attempts to reinvent itself every new iteration. Well, except for Chocobo Racing.

That can burn in Tartarus.

I am a Wii-owner, sheep, mindless drone, etc. etc. etc. and even I want a PS3 to play FF XIII. Is it overrated? Not as a series. Are certain FF games overrated? Yes, but it depends on who you talk to. I'd say FF7 is overrated, but that's because everyone talks about it like it was Jesus Christ's 2nd coming.

All I can say is that if I am allowed to get excited about a franchise GC port (Zelda:TP), then PS3 owners are allowed to be excited about a franchise built-from-the-ground-up-for-the-PS3 game.

Games sell consoles. One game won't sell all consoles, since not everyone is into all genres. PS2 sold so so many becuase its diverse and pretty much excelled in all genres.  So its understandable that FF would sell 20 Million copies
