Final Fantasy V remake will be released on Steam

The phone remake for Final Fantasy V will be released on Steam this month. It's kind of cool that PC gamers can play FFV but seriously I hate the look of this remake. I wished that Square Enix did a better job with this remake because it looks more like a cheap flash game. Compared to their other FF remakes where they put in a lot of effort them, this one doesn't. Anyways I'm guessing that they will release the phone remake of FFVI in the future as well which sadly also looks like the FFV remake. Still I hope Square Enix does a proper remake for FFV since it is my favorite game in the 2D series.

Mobile version...

Sorry about that but with gamespot's new title limitation it's hard to add more detail in the title. And yes sadly it is a piss poor remake indeed.

it looks like shit therefore modern PC gamers will think it's an indie and decide it's the best game ever made. Future looks bright for this title on PC though nobody will buy it till it's less then 2 dollars on Steam.

@AcidTango: I would have said FFV mobile version is being ported to PC, but that's me. It's cool, I'm going through FF7 right now and will hit up the rest of the series later

FFIV remake on the PSP is the blueprint to a great 2D remake. Not sure why they did that crap on V and VI.

I expect SE to milk this game to the max, since they are always complaining about how their games arent making enough money.

I hope the battles aren't frame-locked to 15fps like FFIV on PC is.

oh well atleast they are releasing something, this means we will likely see a FF6 release on steam of the mobile game which I want to play but I dont want to get a tablet.
