As much as im happy for people that want this game I regret every day when i purchased ps1 games or try to play ps1 games on my ps3....surfice to say unless you have it hooked up via component and on a tube tv as well as other settings.
ps1 games look like total ASS on a 32 inch lcd 1080p hdtv through hdmi, they are so insanely pixelated that i cannot play them, Which is why i've retained my ps2 slim and its component hookups with a few tweaks here and there with the lcd and 4:3 settings and such it looks way better, Its odd but the ps3's ps1 backwards compat is actually flawed compared to the ps2's I've tried doing the same settings with the ps3, component...etc and the games are still massively pixelated...Simple fact is you must in the end play these games on the psp version with the smaller but high resolution screen keeps the pixelization to a minimum...*though im unsure if these games can play on the psp if you download em from teh psn store onto your ps3*
[QUOTE="siLVURcross"][QUOTE="Jandurin"]My problem was just that it was stupid, not that I couldn't use it. I honestly never played more than the demo because it was so awful. I could easily have become overpowered in FF8 like I have in basically all RPGs. I always overgrind and overthink and overexplore.JandurinThe thing is, FF8 is easier the lower the lvl you are. ORLY? Why's that? Enemies scale with you, it's possible to get the possible magic extremely early in the game to be junctioned hence making you pretty much unstoppable since weak enemies + overpowered characters = easy win.

The thing about VIII is that while you characters don't really level (in order to become more powerful), your summons do.
VIII is totally imbalanced and way too easy, but it's still a good game. I wish they would tweak it though so it wasn't quite so easy.
