No, this isn't on schedule. If we had Squaresoft this **** wouldn't be going on and you know it. Squaresoft was known for working on future FF games while the current one just came out. When FFVIII was out, the screenshots of IX and X were shown and both the logo for XI and XII were shown. This is all fault of that crappy company that makes those crappy DQ games.

That is pretty depressing when looking at it like that. Mistwalker is popping out games on a yearly basis, and while they aren't quite FF quality they are getting closer. As crazy as it is to say I actually like LO more then I did FFXII. There is no excuse for 5 year development, and then releasing good but not immortal titles.

I don't think I'm going to listen to someone from Traders Web about the delay and listening to 2channel users is like listening to SW users. Sure, it could be possible but I'm not about to say this is remotely confirmed or anywhere near reliable.

Um why are you guys skipping FFX-2 and saying that it took forever for Square-Enix to do FFXII? FFX-2 was a main line Final Fantasy game. You guys are just going to have to accept it.
Anyways it takes on average 7 monthes from my calculations of my last thread for a Final Fantasy game to go from JPN to USA. This was an average based on all Final Fantasy games excluding II, III, and V as they didn't see release in USA until later times.

Parasite Eve, Chrono Games, first 10 (real) Final Fantay games were benchmarks. Sure, they made a mistake with the movie...everyone messes up. Those games have TRUE heart.
I'm sorry, has DQ changed since the first one? No it hasn't. Same crap over and over again. Oh, it's a slim! Oh, it's a metal slim! Oh, it's a super slim! Great real, DQ has done nothing for the RPG corner. No light, no depth, and no heart in story.

Final Fantasy XII was shown at the same time of Final Fantasy XI when Squaresoft was still alive. After the merger things went down hill.

Super Mario RPG and FF8(the worst FF game ever) is better than Terranigma? Anyone who mentions FF8 being a great game, I don't take them seriously. Terranigma has a story thats far better than a vast majority of RPG stories. That includes most FF games except FF6. I would say its better than the original CT, because the original CT story is cliche and typical. Boy meets Girl now boy must save the world from some disaster. The time travel theme was typical, go back into the past to change the future(How many times have we heard that one?). Chrono Cross however makes CT's story actually look better due to it being a darker theme and trying to display the dark side effects of time travel.

Who says I'm supporting Enix? Does it mean I support them over Square because I stated that Terranigma's story far exceeds most of the games you said was better than it? What you are saying is that you are dismissing Terranigma only because it has a Enix label on it and if it was made by Square then you would be praising how great of a game it is. Enix made a few games I like, DQ isn't something I ever got into. But I did like 7th Saga, Terranigma, Soul Blazer and Star Ocean.
Also, Square has went downhill far before the merging. FF7 was crap compared to FF6, so was FF8 and FF9. FFX was decent, but I would say that Chrono Cross was when Square was at their peak. After that their works have no exceeded that game.
Has anyone read the link? It's an analyst saying that it could be pushed to May 2010.
Meanwhile SE president said that it could be released 08 but it will probably be pushed to 09 because of DQ.

Because there games have always remained of the same quality through out the years even if they never were as good as Squaresoft. But on the flip side Square's IP's qualities have gone down. Even prior to the merger. Look at FFIX and FFX.
Enix has always been consistant. Square even before the merger wasn't. You blaming Square's problems on Enix is low. The majority of leadership on the board of the company is Square Enix and that's even though Enix absorbed Squaresoft.
I mean its not like its Enix who killed off the Ogre Battle Franchise. It was Square with their Final Fantasy Tactics Franchise. Why have Quest make Ogre Battle/Tactics Ogre games when you can just have them keep doing Final Fantasy Tactics :|
