Final Fantasy XIII confirmed for PC . FF IV released.

Yeah , it is out now .

They're slowly building the hype before the inevitable announcement of the definitive version of FF XV.

I would definitely by this if for no reason other than hoping modders have their way with the game and expand the Chrystarium to like 3x the size, add new enemies or elemental variety to other enemies, and make the game nothing but Grand Pulse that constantly gets different and stronger takes on enemies as you go along. I'd play that game for years.

I don't feel like plugging up my 360 to test it out, but I know that basically all character data is stored in your saves. You can manually add attacks that your character technically shouldn't be able to have. Assuming that when loading it back up those changes aren't erased and the characters use them, the game could potentially be very mod friendly.

On topic.... 3 great games, all great for different reasons. I love how Lightning Returns brings the battle of attrition back to Final Fantasy.

Even if XIII does come to PC, I still have no desire to buy it.

Is FFXIII the "reward" for the complaints made about Final Fantasy III? A more optimistic side of me would think that the fact that it's outselling Batman during a WB sale would force Square-Enix to listen to the pleas for FFXV.

I found combat to one of the best points of the game. It felt involved and fun to me. While the sequels werent needed they did improve on some things. I can recommend these games if anyone is curious about them. I didint find them amazing but still enjoyable. I love jrpgs and the 13 games didint change my mind on them. Side note ff4 story and cast was pretty cool. Though I dont know if the combat from the ds version and older version is drastically different.

Anyway, XIII was a pretty fun game, sadly with little replay value, i have no desire to play it again even if the combat system was great.

PSP version was the best one. Then GBA, then DS, then SNES, then PSOne. So you could do worse than the DS version, although it's sad that it's not the amazing PSP one.

That said, the DS one has the best difficulty, so it has that going for it.

FFXIII is actually on Steam for a pretty reasonable price. $15 ain't bad even if the game is bad. It'll probably be like $5 during the winter sale.

Not up to date on which FF's were actually OK. The combat tends to be a bit boring compared to Chrono Trigger and the stories not half as interesting. But if it's considered to be a great one then I'll definitely give it a shot. It would help if there is sexy stuff in it.

I won't even touch this, For me XIII put the series in a bad spot and I just hope XV can bring that excitement back to the main FF series.

Anyone who buys FF13 knowing full well what it is is a masochist. I played FF13 on the PS3 for 3 fucking hours thinking it was a tutorial and the game would open up and let me control the combat... what the **** is a point in a game that plays itself during combat.

it might get a late release but i think they will release it on pc. Btw i had xiii on ps3 and i couldnt even beat it, everything else than cutscenes were horrible, imo. But they say rest of them are fine

Now THIS is a MUCH better buy. Avoid Final Fantasy XIII and go straight to IV. (As long as you don't mind dated graphics and keep in mind that's basically a SNES game in 3D.)

(I'm only basing this off the DS version though. I haven't played the PC version and some reviews say it suffers from severe framerate issues.)

@Shewgenja: you're so wrong. Final Fantasy 13 is the game that's easy to learn, incredibly difficult to master.

The battle system is incredibly engaging and super fast paced.

The real issue with Final Fantasy 13 is that you have to play the game the way they force you to play. You can't treat it like a role playing game and experiment with different approaches to different scenarios.

Yay for pc version cause of the framerate is kinda horrible on 13-3 and 13-2. Need to restart 13-2 as I overpowered bosses alot with upgrade weapon while I used to play 13 on level 1 weapon till much later campaign.

Why would anyone want a nude mod for 13? Most of the female characters are flat.

What 13 needs is a mute mod anytime Serah and Vanille open their mouth.
