Final Fantasy XIII - PS3 or Xbox 360?

I want to preorder FFXIII, but I'd like to know if it will be better on PS3 or Xbox 360, based on current images, previews, and any exclusive content that might be on either platform.

Personally I'd pick PS3 but Microsoft does like to make exclusives in some way...

Also please post why you picked what system as I want to know how you think it will be better on that platform.

If it looks better on the 360, I'll get that version, otherwise I have to go with the Trey on this one.

They've said they are trying to keep both versions identical (even going so far as not including the Japanese voices because it wouldn't fit on a single Xbox dvd).

That said, the PS3 is the lead platform, and the Xbox 360 version will be compressed, so if there is any difference it would likely be in the PS3's favor.

Generally ports are inferior for the consoles. PS3 is the original version I would say go with that.Ace6301

Square Enix made the game on the PS3 originally and then ported it to the Xbox 360. The odds are in the PS3 version being better. If you would be willing to wait 2-3 weeks after the game comes out, Eurogamer.net (Digital Foundry) does pretty accurate comparisons. They actually test the differences.

If you meant Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children there, then no it won't. It's already out in Japan and they've got cutscenes and other stuff up on youtube and Japanese gaming sites.

I will be getting it for my PS3, but i don't really think there will be much difference between the 2.

Im picking it up on the 360 because that's all I had. But if I had a PS3, I'd pick it up on the 360 still (achievements). Mr_Cumberdale

Oh, I found that link. It says that the 360 version's audio and video will be compressed, therefore making the PS3 version superior, but the differences are going to be minimal apparently
