Final Fantasy XIII - PS3 or Xbox 360?

PS3, thats the console it was developed on. Im skeptical on the game being worth a buy, i think i will rent it first.djsifer01

the PS3, the only console i have, even if i had an x360, i would get it on my PS3 ....... i can't take any risks wz this game.

I seriously doubt 360 only owners will buy this game considering that it's very linear. They're use to having options and non-linear directions.XenogearsMaster

It belongs on the ps3 imo so thats where im going to get it for

They've said they are trying to keep both versions identical (even going so far as not including the Japanese voices because it wouldn't fit on a single Xbox dvd).

That said, the PS3 is the lead platform, and the Xbox 360 version will be compressed, so if there is any difference it would likely be in the PS3's favor.

1.the ps3 version is not UNCOMPRESSED it just uses a lower amount of compression i wish people would get this through their skulls.
2.There is nothing about the ps3 that makes it superior to the 360.
3.Being point 2 being what it is, if Square tried to make the 360 version match the ps3 version then they are likely equal in every way.

As for all that i wont be buying any version weither i voted for the 360 or not *i voted to give another vote for the 360 side* but i wont be picking the game up, I've not enjoyed final fantasy or square enix games for a long time, ill pick it up maybe when its used and 20 dollars.

I'd be surprised if the 360 was noticeably better, let alone better at all, so I'd say PS3. :)

It's been confirm that PS3 version uses Lossless PCM 5.1, eventually lossless and uncompressed are diffrent things, and only being lossless or not effect audio. Video ofcorse is still compressed, theres not such thing as uncompressed movies on marked because even Blu-ray would not fit that data (i work with raw video on my meteor video station so i know 3 minutes of raw video data takes good few GB :p)

video surly will be compressed, raw video is unusable for the consumer market

I think it will be better on the PS3 as that's the system it's being developed for.

However I'll still probably get it for my 360 unless that version is vastly inferior, the reason being that I can play my 360 on my monitor in my room but not my PS3.

Going to wait and see how the two versions play out, but probably the PS3 version.

I was going to get it on 360, so i could have custom soundtracks and chat my friends online, but then my Xbox died and shook my confidence in the hardware.

So we'll see how i feel come release.

I have the PS3 JP version right now and will buy the 360 EU version when its really cheap in price.

I expect the differences to be miniscule.

Which means I will do the rational thing and pick the version that feels better to play...in other words the controller I prefer. Which is the 360s in my case.

Given that 100% of the time I am playing, I am playing with the controller in hand, I tend to value this more than a tiny difference in pixel count or occassional texture or lighting or color saturation differences. These would have to be big differences to matter.

Framerate, super excessive and constant loading, stutteringor screen tearing and the like are different beasts, but I am not expecting much difference there.

I think it will be better on PS3 because FF XIII is really designed for the PS3, I mean it belongs to the PS3.

I don't know yet. If there is a significant difference in quality, I will go with the higher rated version. If they are roughly the same, then I'd probably get the 360 version simply because of the achievements and being able to follow all my friends.

I will be getting Final Fantasy XIII on the Playstation 3 since I played most of the other games in the series on a Sony console. Beside I love the Dualshock controller when playing with role playing and this will be no different either. The difference will be very small so either console wouldn't make that much of a different.

PS3 because of the blu-ray disc. No need to switch disks.
