Final Fantasy XIV PS4 Beta Is Out Now!

It was an absolute pain to figure out all of my Square-Enix account information again; just awful. Jumping through hoops on my computer to figure out what my password was for one account when that one didn't matter at all. Ugh...

But I have the first-time setup going now. I have no clue what to expect, I don't really play MMOs, but I hope I enjoy it. Love the menu music that's playing right now. :P Gives this epic, grandiose feeling that I attribute to Final Fantasy games and it makes me excited.

I got into the beta on Ps3. I had a fairly good time.

My thoughts on the beta from another thread.

The image quality does come very close to the PC's so it's a huge improvement over the PS3 version. After playing the beta for a bit it doesn't feel like it's hitting 60 fps, feels more like 30 - 45 max compared to the PC version at 60fps vsynced.

Playing the game with KB&M isn't great either, tested it with a G19 and G5 and a Vengeance K70 and M95 and in both cases the input was very sluggish, though that's probably more an issue with how the PS4 handles KB&M.

@Sweenix: $15 a month for FF IX MMO? No thanks. I played FF XI for a year paying $15 a month and It was a complete grind after the first 6 months. Will never do that crap again.

I have given up on this game before I've even started. SE won't let me connect with my account and when I try make a new one they don't send me confirmation codes. I can log into their site on my computer but not my PS4. When I asked to change my password etc. it said my date of birth was invalid despite being the exact same as before.

I'm done

I forgot how boring the starting quests are. Ugh, I think I'll skip this and wait until Phase 2.

Seems like all slots in all beta worlds are filled. I tried creating a character and no luck.

seriously, it is always something horrible with those things.
