I thought this graphics demo wasn't really impressive at all.

Yeah right, some chip stuffed in a small box will surpass 2 graphic adapters working in SLI or Crossfire and using 500W of power with water cooling.

It is a tech demo, so it doesn't really count. Remember the impressive PS2 tech demo with the ducks in the bath? No game ever really utilised any of that.
