Firaxis Games - developer of the year?

First they come out with XCOM 2 which is amazing, and now Civilization 6 is getting rave reviews. I've always loved their games. I put so much time into XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Civilization 5. I haven't gotten to Civ 6, and I won't until I'm done with X2, but they are having a great year. I think they may as well be developer of the year. What do you think, SW? Am I close on this one?

This year has been abit dry.

I'm waiting for them to patch XCOM2 to reduce load times, or for it to drop in price, one or the other. I heard it was an issue on PC too and there was a clever work around, like holding the TAB or CTRL button during loads boosts the load time substantially for some reason. If it's just glitchy for whatever reason, I hope they fix it.

I wish they'd consider doing another Civilization Revolutions for consoles, I loved the last one for consoles.

Anyhow, played XCOM: Enemy Unknown, got the Enemy Within Expansion version when it was on sale for $9.99 on XB1 via their BC, so at least I have that to play still.

Had a great time with Xcom 2 (got it at launch on PC, and barely encountered any technical issue beyond some low framerates in the very last mission), will soon dive into Civ VI.

Xcom 2 abd Civ vi are the best games I've played this year. Can't decide which i prefer though!

Xcom 2 was beyond broken for many and still is to this day. There's so many issues with the game that I would call it one of the biggest disappointments in a long time.
