Technically, I suppose. Those (except for ASH and FE, and I don't even think I can include ASH being a JRPG/SRPG mix) all have elevation instead of being a checkerboard strategy. I was just talking about those types, but I was pretty ignorant to exclude them. nintendofreak_2

Except Okami is a port and this is a new game with at least a new campaign, characters, and story. Okami will be amazing even as a port just like RE4.

It's a very hardcore game in a pretty hardcore genre so i dont think it'll do well critically. Gamespot tend to know there stuff when it comes to SRPGs though so i'd expect a more accurate review from them. There's been some positive buzz surrounding the game so i wouldnt dismiss it just yet

While the gameplay has been polished since Path of Radiance, whoever at IGNreviewed Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn wished the game had higher production values such as full voice acting instead of voice acting only in cinematics, orchestrated music, better animation, and of course, graphics.

That said, I really should finish Path of Radiance before I pick up Radiant Dawn despite it giving sufficient backstory (I think I'm on Ch. 10 >_> ugh)

Fire Emblem is a very good series and 8.0 seems to be a pretty good review given that it is such a niche gam. There also seem to be quite a few improvements to the gameplay mechanics in this latest game.

I'm replaying Path of Radiance right now. I want to level up Sothe and get a few supports forRadiant Dawn.:P

Chapter 10... was easy. You get Volke in that chapter, if I remember correctly... he's great if you level him up.
