First 9.5 or 10?

If they give ODST a 9.0, the piece of @$$ that that was, then I guess Reach will get 9.5..Easyle

Dragon Age: Origins Awakening, C&C4, Conviction, Red Dead Redemption, SMG2, Alan Wake, Starcraft 2, Metroid: Other M, Mafia 2...

We still got a lot ahead of, fellas -- and I didn't go into the Fall of this year. I think all those have a chance to get a 9.5, but honestly, if Mass Effect 2 can't do it. I have my doubts if those games can. :P

I think it's gonna be hard for Portal 2 to get that score because the first game is so innovative that you can't really do more with it. I'm not saying you need innovation to make a good game or anything but Portal was special because of that .I'm looking foward to being proven wrong.

Star-Craft 2 better be BLOODY AWESOME because we have been waiting a while.

My thoughts go for Alan Wake and Splinter-Cell Conviction and Red Dead Redemption as well as Halo Reach

Dude.. Halo ODST got 9 for what sort of game it is. It's an expansion and as an expansion it deserves a 9.0. A Mobile phone game that gets a 9 is not better then a PS3 game that gets 9, because they give the score for what it is. And BTW Halo's multiplayer alone would give it a 9

I thought Mass Effect 2 would have that score in the bag, but GS are being a bit harsher on scoring this year, or so it seems. Anyway, I think The Last Guardian, Alan Wake and Halo Reach all have a shot at that score. I don't think Starcraft 2 will even come out this year, and I think The Last Guardian might be pushed back as well. Anything less than 9.5 for GT5 will be quite a flop, even if it is just a 0.5 score difference :P But I think it will probably get it as well.comeonthehoops

Halo Reach. A 10 would be asking too much but i think it could easly get a 9.5

Starcraft 2 is the only game that has a legitimate shot at it IMO.

But cause we're on lamespot, Halo Reach will, no doubt.

Not sure, most of the game I had recieving around that range ended up falling short of that but I would probably go with Starcraft II.

Well I know I'm bumping this but, I doubt the last guardian will since theirs not even a release date yet. Also We found out yakuzma 3 or whatever that game on the ps3 wasdidnt get it either. But either alan wake, SMG2, or splinter cell has the best chance in the near future.

There are a few games that come to mind. Portal 2 seems like a great candidate, along with Starcraft 2 (if it comes out this year).

Do some of you all really believe that a game with a release date of fall or later will recieve the first 9.5 or 10? Well I guess you could be right but I see it happening by june.

Alan Wake failed at the first 9.5 or 10. But all well I'll still buy it because of the positive reviews. But anyway theirs still no 9.5 or 10. Now I'm going to guess RDR has the best chance.

RDR is the only game I can foresee even coming close to 9.5/10... and even then its highly unlikely. I doubt GS is going to ever give out a 10 anymore this gen, and very few (read: almost none) 9.5's.

Well, GS is a bit stickler with their reviews and has only given out 4 perfect 10's in the entire history of the site (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, Grand Theft Auto IV and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots), so I doubt even with this year's awesome line up that we'll even see a 10. I think Red Dead: Redemption should get a 9.5, I haven't played it but from what I've seen it could be an affront to humanity to not give it this score.
