First flop of 2015? Kirby: Rainbow Curse or The Order: 1886.

Wow, after all the hype Cows have been giving The Order 1886, why do they feel it will flop?

I don't think either is hyped enough to flop. Especially The Order.

Well Kirby hasn't been hyped at all, but The Order 1886 has been hyped to death all over this site and many others. Maybe not as hyped as DriveClub was, but hyped enough that it should have it's own hype poll before the game gets released.

A Gears of War clone which desperately wants to be a movie even more than Gears of War did. It's Steampunk but its creators deny it's Steampunk because 'we're darker and edgier!' which means it's a pretentious Gears of War clone. The whole product reeks of insecurity, desperation, vanity and shallowness. Is this what the new criticism in video games was supposed to herald? Is this why new consoles were needed? Slightly fancier looking versions of the same crap that's been churned out since Epic ripped off Winback?

That said, my vote is Order: 1886. Kirby will do fine indeed.

What's the hype on kirby? I doubt it will flop.

The Order will flop for sure...or maybe not because expectations are so low.

You need hype threads before you can declare a flop.

BTW the clay effect in kirby is nothing short of amazing.

Cows won't hype this game even a AA because they are all talk but no show

Kirby needs his own thread. That game melts my cold dark evil heart.

If last year has shown anything, is that it is smart to be weary of these super hyped AAA budget games. Just because tons of money went into it doesnt mean it will be actually good.

On topic though I vote The Order since it looks like almost every QTE infested shooter ever.

Very true. They scream and tell about how great The Order 1886 will be for months, but then when the hype thread is made they are trying to hype the game as a 6. lol!! Such hypocrites.

With the way cows were selling The Order at the time of the PS4 launch, I hope they hype it up as much now, so that it can flop gloriously.

EDIT: On the topic of Toad: Treasure Tracker, I played through the first episode at a friend's place over the holiday and love it. Such great charm and creativity. Kind of lacking on content though.

Depends, do you mean critically or in terms of gamer reception?

I feel like The Order 1886 will be worse received by critics, simply for being too safe, linear or cinematic, but that actual gamers (who actually own the console and play the game) will have a far more positive reception to it. A bit like Driveclub at the moment, which was scalded by journalists, but is highly credited by gamers, car enthusiasts and racing fans who have played it for any substantial length of time.

The Order. It's hyped AAA, will be AA at best.

Kirby is hyped A, and will be A-AA easy.

The Order because it's a PS4 exclusive.
