I like annoying stuff...I mean in GTA4 alot of people got annoyed of the hard driving controls in the game and I found it more interesting because it feels alot real, the over-dosing got me killed twice on hard and I didn't get mad or anything, lol.
The AI is great like you said, ya they go straight for me but try it without nectar, they will kill you quickly and sometimes even with nectar.
I like your impression of the game and 8.0 is great but fanboys don't play 8.0 games nowadays so they say medicore to the A-AA games, I laugh at them.
I don't think it is like Timeshift, Puhlease, that game was really messed up, the controls were weird, I've played the demo and I thought it is going to be an interesting game from trailers but it is always goes down with the controls in shooters and Timeshift didn't deliver on the most important aspect, in HAZE's case, they delivered and the story also is a plus for games so Im really looking forward to the story also.
HAZE-Unit
You're weird. :P The vehicle handling in GTA is just a matter of getting used to it, learn to brake early, use the hand brake and not to drive ****ty SUVs. But let's say if a tree were to pop up in front of you as you were driving, making you crash into it, that would be annoying, as it wouldn't be your fault. People popping up from behind to shoot you in the arse is only acceptable in multiplayer.
I was referring to Timeshift in terms of what I feel about it, I think it's halfway good but wouldn't pay full price for it. I'm not really comparing them in that fashion. Timeshift is mostly fairly standard linear stuff, but I liked parts of it. Like your timeshifting powers and how enemies would react to them. And one scene in particular is pretty freaking sweet and clever.
Glitchspot is acting up so I can't spoilertag this for some reason....
You'll walk up to a soldier crouching near a doorway warning you to not go out into the courtyard, on the account of the huge robot being present, making people dead. So I peeked my head out and bullets started to splatter. As is the way with games you'll need to run past this obstacle and find cover. I spotted a doorway with my frontal eyeballs and using brainpower figured out that's where you needed to go. So just run past big scary and take cover in the next building.
Off I went, in slow motion, bullets hitting the ground behind me like in all those cliche Hollywood movies. Went into the building and waited for the suit to recharge a bit when the wall suddenly started to get pulverized as the robot shot straight through it. "Oh **** oh **** oh ****. " I thought as I panicked up the stairs, walls collapsing and bullets hitting all around me. And it just kept going. This is not the way it is with games.
That was a genuinely great piece of game design.
