[QUOTE="whocares9"][QUOTE="sSubZerOo"][QUOTE="whocares9"][QUOTE="sSubZerOo"][QUOTE="whocares9"] [QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]Thats so freaking dumb.. If this is true I have lost all respect for Crytek.. Crysis was a phoneomal game on a breath taking engine that will look amazing for at least 5 years.. Why in the hell when computers already can't max it would they put a sequel to go even further with a even more powerful engine? They need to use this engine and just keep releasing expansions if anything.. I am insulted that they even wanted to do this... sSubZerOo
You kidding me? It only shows how determined Crytek is to push gaming forward. If you don't like it play something else. If Crysis 2 came out and it didn't bring PC hardware to it's knees than it would be dissapointing.
Why because Crysis graphics arn't good enough for you right now?
The game graphics right now are fantastic but they won't be in 3 years. Other things will catch up and things get better over time. Seriously, some of you make it sound like Crysis 2 is coming tomorrow..damn thing was just announced.
Please by all means point us to a similar game.. Some would argue that Half-Life 2 Source engine still looks great.. Not the best but still great.. No my point is why would they make a sequal witha supposed better enhanced graphics engine when expansions would be much better? Who doesn't want more gameplay? In the end thats the major FLAW in some of these game they look too bloody good and are entirelly too short..
Games can be to long. Like doom 3...that was great but just got tedious and to long for a shooter. Crysis is the best looking thing right now but in 3-5 years you think it still will be? come on.
Not the best looking but great? Absolutely.. My point being is the fact that as tehse games look better and better the game becomes shorter and shorter.. I can only stomach this any further.. Half of you guys sound like a bunch of 10 year olds wanting more shinier explosions.. While people like me are fine with graphics now and are more concerned with lengthened gameplay that fully does the story.. Doom 3 is not a good example either, it had poor mechanics to alot and was relaly dry game play.. For me I would RATHER see Crysis spawn expansion or two going futher in story line and gameplay then anythign else..
I would like to see your point but you confuse me because shooters have always been more or less 12-15 hours in length. Even the first Half life was 12 hours. I don't see them getting shorter.
