Well if this isn't generic WHAT IS? This game tried to rip off Halo's style with R2 but failed. Looks like they're moving onto Half-Life.

I am still confused how this is generic. The artstyle is incredibly unique. I don't like it either.

bring back rfom game style and add more horror to the atmosphere like it had with the first game, bring online mp cap down to 40, 60 was just ridiculous, i mean the 40p games back in rfom wasnt even that fun because all the chaos, bring new creative weapons, and this game is golden.

in other words you have nothing to say so u bring halo into the mix (irrelevant to the topic at hand) and bash th game because its not on your system of choice. this seems about right;)

Haha maybe so. The textures look quite realistic. Reminds me of an upgraded Source engine. I hope for a grittier, more oppressive vibe as well.

Me too. Judging from the screenshots, this might be the case. It seems to me like they're filtered with the color hue from the live action trailer. I like that.

How do you tell if it has polygons or not?

Look at his hair, classic weird video game hair, why would an artist do that in concept art? They might have some weird looking hair in artwork but not one that mimics it in that way.

Oh, and my thoughts on this, I'm actually already excited for it. I don't know, I just have a great feeling about it, and I hated the first two more than I dislike KillZone 2. Well, hate is a strong word, but I hated them for what they were compared to their potential.

It says Capelli, but I think it's actually James Grayson (from PSP game). I hope that it's Grayson, if you played the PSP game, you'd know that he actually has a personality compared to the genericness of Hale and Capelli.

Becausely RFOM was a bad game and R2 wasn't. I can never figure this out how people actually like RFOM its online was inferior, its weapons, its graphics, its sound, its characters, its story, Its writing. all inferior completely. R2 was the better game in graphics, sound. The story was better thought out, the main character actually you know...talked, the other characters actually had wit to them. Its gameplay was far superior specially its 8 player coop.

I thought Resistance 1 had a better narrative than the second game.

Hmmm and yet people still post shots of Halo 3 which have been found time and time again to have been touched up by Bungie in every Halo 3 thread, plus then there's some of these stupid Gears 3 shots. Seems everyone's at it except the PC user cos they don't need to i spose. Anywho Resistance 2 can't have been that bad a game else it wouldn't have recieved a 9?

Love your desperate flaming. Who said they weren't bullshots? Even if they are, the final product will still be a noticeable improvement over R2 which was a great game according to most critics and non-haters.

Spose at least 2 are kinda true from the PS3 side, i don't really remember a GoW 3 vs Crysis thread but the Uncharted vs Crysis thread was pretty darn outragous.

It still has quite a few months left to go. Looks solid right now, but I hope they bump up the graphics a bit more. Though some of the shots are a bit too odd to compare to R2, I can say that the skin on the Ravenger looks pretty bad.

Still want I really want to know from this game is how it plays and it's story. If the graphics are just somewhat updated from R2 I think it will suffice more than enough. But the story is my real attraction to this franchise! So awesome! =D

I'm not looking for a major graphical upgrade, because R2's graphics were fine for me. And I'm also hyped for the story.
