Topic. Just thought I'd share the good news with you guyz. Congrats PS3 owners. Keep up the good work guyz! I'll join you fellas when I get my PS3 this summer.

i agree that this is a non-gaming issue. The ps3 has to be commended for its processing capabilities and F@H.

It doesnt find anything new, cancer cures lie in gene therapy...thats just the nature of cancer...folding@home does nothing to help this.

I have never once clicked on the folding@home icon on my PS3....

Not only this person didn't bother to put 2 minutes into researching this term, but he/she assumes a cure for cancer can be found (as if there is only one type of cancer and the cure is universal) overnight by few crummy calculations on the PS3.

Yep accept it gets beaten to a pulp by any ATi video card. Expect the 360 to be at least twice as fast as the PS3 when they release F@H for it.

I thought Folding@Home was on PC as well.. So wouldnt it be also hermits/PC users, as well?ArisShadows

There having to use two different clients for pc and ps3, they are however sharing the same universal multi-complex system for storing data. 

To the folks wondering folding@home doesn't help cure cancer or any other disease that its being used for, it helps understand the disease which ultimately leads to scientist to being able to develop cures and ways of solving the diseases.

Listen buddy, in gaming the number of decimal places doesn't matter much, that is why it is common for programmers to use floats instead of doubles because you rarely need higher precision than that. So the AI or the physics are not going to be out of this world on the PS3.

Heh, nice try, but they ARE.  Everytime someone logs on and lets their PLAYSTATION 3 run F@H (btw it's CONFIRMED by the director that it's the only console capable of running it SO efficiently) they are creating progress.  PS3 OWNERS are doing their part, sorry bro don't be angry.

Gee, I think the reason why Motorstorm was "8 hours long" (coming from soneone who HASN'T even played it) is Blu-Ray.  Not.  Motorstorm was rushed because Evolution Studios had to get the game out. Bill Gates uses the Foundation as a front so he doesn't have to pay as much taxes.  Newsflash, THE RICH only find ways to get RICHER.

 Excuses, excuses bu bu bu teh game was short because it was rushed. They had just as long as other devs had to finish the game. I suppose you'll next tell us Lair and Uncharted were short because devs were rushing it.
