MS has greater returns from software because it is cheap to produce and is valuable to consumers. Second, how in the hell MS cannot afford to make Digital Cameras, TVs, Phones, Speakers....lol, they pretty much got everyone monopolized on everything that operates on a computer,that would be just greed to compete in every aspect with all brands. They got tons of money to invest in diffrent fields, Bill gates is the seconds most richest man on the planet, so you think his franchise is not able todo that and more?, Third, Im not getting a penny for defending microsoft and saying they are richer, so I will not comment anymoreon this cause this is just silly, but what bothers me iscows ignorance towards reality.

This whole thread was jumping around, with no consistancy about "worth", "market value", and "size".

MS is a big and wealthy company but will not be able to afford Sony Corporation.

Everyone seems to forget along with the consumer goods that Sony manufactures for the home. They also have a huge number of commercial audio/video equipment. They also manufacture electronics for medical purposes. And how many main stream movie studios do they own or own huge shares in now. And how many subsideraies does Sony own around the world. Sometimes everything they manufacture doesn't always have the Sony name on it.

no. I already said sony is not as profitable as MS, because MS doesn't bother itself asmuchwith producing physical consumer goods. I was not talking about Sony's capabilities to make OSs, or how profitable they would be from that. if they did, it would be far less expensive to produce. how do I have a lack of logic? you're the one not making any sense.
