The reason I didlike the wii is because it has crap for games, TP being the only game that will last me for more then 5 hours. Plus it adds nothing new to games. imo

The PS3 has a ton of features and a slick design. People have already gotton over it. THey are simply waiting of the price to drop. The Wii is fun. Fun is long lost to hardcore gamers. They know only well designed, graphically powerful, games. The Wii will attracted hardcore gamers as third party support grows (the companies were caught off guard by its success, and are just now announcing games). First party games, like metroid, though these series have been long running, are remaded with every new console.Plus, no matter how you slice it, the Wii is a success story of INNOVATION. Gimmicks are the PS3's blue-ray, and totally new that no one is ready for, Gimmicky is the PSP's internet browsing and ability to play music. I do not mean to be anti-Sony, I love the games on the PS2, but never brought it for its ability to play dvds.

Hardcore gamers care about the games. Wii brings something new, I don't see why any hardcore gamer would not be interested in the Wii. The wii will bring new stuff for party games and games like WarioWare. Most hardcore gamers arnt playing 4 hours a day of warioware.

Exactly. If you like games and you claim that you are some serious gamer then you would give the Wii a chance instead of making these mindless assumptions of doomsday predictions for it.
Why? Why do people not understand that it IS A NEW WAY OF PLAYING? That is what makes it fun. You may not like it, but bashing it on such trivial grounds is foolish. It may not change what happens on screen in some games, but the new way of play is plain ans simple fun.

Fanboys said exactly the same thing about the DS. Just for clarification: When, exactly, in 2007 is the Wii supposed to stop selling? We're in mid-February, and people are still lining up for Wii shipments.

I hate it because of the horrific graphics, horrible 3rd party support, lack of GOOD shooting game- hell, I'd be satisfied with a fair shooter but all they have is ****. I also hate it because the motion sensing isnt as accurate as a controller for me.
As a hardcore gamer, what attracted me to the Wii is the new way of playing. IMO the Wii is the biggest thing to happen to gaming since the NES. If I want graphics, PC and the 360 will take care of that.

I personally don't "hate" the wii but I don't see it being worth $250 right now... If it was maybe $150-170 I'd consider it.. MAYBE!!! But the only game I want to play on it is Zelda and I see maybe 4 games coming out this year that's actually worth getting. No thank you..

I don't see any xbox360/Ps3 that wouldn't have worked on the last gen consoles with downgraded visual... perhaps Dead Rising because the amount of enemies on screen. But Wii-sports, Trauma Center, Wario Ware, Rayman would have been totally broken and/or irrelevant while Madden, Zelda and Elebits improved.

They;re gonna play Dragon Quest, Mario Galaxys, etc. and to think that the wii isn't gonna get some kickarse 3rd party is naive.
