For the PAYERS - Sony reveals 1st party launch titles on PS5 will cost $70

Stop acting like Sony doesn't offer ANY kind of MP for some of their exclusives. Uncharted 4 have multiplayer, GoT will have co-op multiplayer, Bloodborne have multiplayer, LBP 3 have co-op multiplayer. Now not many of Sony's 1st exclusives doesn't, but some do. Just because their not up to "your preference" doesn't mean that they don't exist.

Ya, I saw this while looking at Demon's Souls. I'll not buy a single game new. I can be patient and wait for price drop or used games.

I also said correct me if wrong. And that was in reference to co-op games as that's what i was talking about to tele, as he shifted away from MP as in deatchmatch to co-op, i didn't steer the conversation that way he did.

And mentioning games that have yet to add co-op even though the games out kinda strengthens my argument thanks lol.

Gaming is a luxury, what did you expect? Gaming is expansive as hell if you make it out to be but remember this, you can wait for a sale which nowadays, it takes a month for a game to go on sale but you can do better if you wait for GOTY edition with all DLC included in a single price thus making it worth purchasing. If you gonna complain about paying $70, you might as well not be gaming. At least on PC, I can find much better deals over at CDKey.

This is how I feel, on one hand I completely understand that. Games take forever now to dev, cost more etc on the other hand though. There's more gamers and I would rather them cost less just because I'm cheap lol.

I'm was referring to SONY's winning track record of producing world class exclusives for all their consoles. PS5 will be no different.

Miles Morales costs 50 dollars and has a free upgrade to PS5 if you buy the ps4 version.

I'm not great at math but how is 70 dollars an how are you paying for a next gen version if its free to upgrade?

That COW acronym was given to us because of sony selling mult tap adapters and memory cards and all that shit, and people begin to claim sony fans like to be MILK, but in reality is a acronym that go better with lemmings.

You people have been OK with MS shenanigans pretty much since the console started.

For example the xbox was a good value hardware wise, but online play was $50 a year and back then a credit card was in deed require, MS also sold memory cards even that lemmings complain about then PS2,there was a benefit to them portability you could take your saves to a friends house and even share them.

DVD movie playback on PS2 it was free, on xbox even that it has a dvd MS locked away dvd playing behind a $30 dollar remote control,i remember the limitation was poorly software based imposed by MS, as modded xbox consoles could use the normal controller to play movies i know i owned one, and you could even use tunneling software to play several games like mech assault by online without xbox live.

Then the xbox 360 arrive with it $10 price hike on xbox live, $10 dollar price hike games remember they were $49.99 on PS2 gen ,$99 20GB HDD,$99 dollar wifi adapter, $200 HD-DVD adapter, memory cards because well there was a $299 core system and why sell a 20GB HDD cheap when you could also sell it over priced and charge almost half the price for a 64MB memory card.

Did i forgot to tell you they sold a component cable for $40? Because if you were stupid enough to byte into the $299 core system yeah that shit didn't come with component cables, it came with standard cables which mean you were out of lock if you wanted 720p graphics you were confined to SD TV.

Now, not only do you get to pay a subscription to a service that so generously allows you to play multiplayer on P2P servers hosted by the bandwidth you already pay your ISP for; now you get to pay for them to market their games to you, and still have micro-transactions too.

My fear now is, because this is the first price increase in decades, we will now be prone to more frequent updates. We've crossed a line and now there is a precedent for price increases.

If there is one thing the alleged-AAA game industry has taught us, it's that they can't be trusted to not be greedy.

I fully expect to see a price increase with every generation now. What's worse, this will no doubt migrate over to PC releases as well simply because everyone else is doing it.

New game = 70 dollars

New "gold" version of game with stupid extra = 90 dollars

New "deluxe" w/ season pass = 120 dollars.

you do realize it affects people everywhere right? If prices go up elsewhere in the world fewer games are bought worldwide and therefore companies see no reason to produce games with big budgets. This will affect the quality of games and the number of games if it causes sales to go lower.

Great, i'll guess i won't have to buy anything on launch day with this new prices, it is literally the worst moment to have an increase like that.

Personally, i would gladly pay $70 because it has a Sony logo on the box.
