Have you ever realised that maybe according to a website your console is equal after the equivelant time, but is a year behind, still 8 million consoles behind and if it continues at the same rate as the 360 for the duration of its cycle, it will be in 3rd place this gen.braydee1234
Thats why sony fanboys shouldent be glotting for the fact that the ps3 is selling at the same rate as the 360
The 360 sales arn't even good, this gen has barely started. Just wait till everybody gets bored of their Ps2 and starts buying HDTVs...HoldThePhone

You're assuming everyones going to buy an HDTV? I wouldn't bother, but I'm getting a 19" to take away to university, I'd have been quite happy with my 28" SDTV in my room otherwise.Â
um, the 360 had no competition and the ps3 has competition w/ the 360 and wii and it's matching the 360ForTheNguyen
So your ownage is that the 360 with shortages had no competition? I'm sure to MS or Sony it's irrespective, the fact is that after the period of time, their sales were equal. Just MS had a year haedstart and with continued sales at this rate will remain 8 million more than the PS3.Â

Excellent point. It also isn't being taken into consideration just how strong the 360's holiday line up is in comparison to the PS3's.
Halo 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect, PGR4 just to name a few.Â

This year definitely looks in the bag for the 360 in terms of games due to the fact that most big named ps3 games were delayed till 2008Â

What games does the PS3 have for Xmas 07?Â
So the 360 is equal in demand to an overpriced, under gamed system without very much incentive to buy? Ooooooh snap.Vandalvideo
Maybe the chart looks the way it does because there were 360 shortages until when? It was March in my area. Â

Lair, Heavenely Sword, Uncharted, Home, Little Big Planet. But being as the majority of 360 owners are casual 12 year old Halo players, all who depend on their christmas gifts for their gaming needs, 360 will no doubt win this Xmas.
But to say PS3 has nothing good going for it is incredibly narrow minded.

LBP is a 2008 title, or so I thought.
I don't think Braydee ever said the PS3 had no games, but seeing as how it costs significantly more, you need more than the 360 offers to justify the purchase.
And the majority of people probably wouldn't take those games over Halo 3 and the other 360 games this holiday season to be honest...

I think both 360 and PS3 is in the same boat when it comes to sales. It's moot to even discuss right now. However, I have to think if the PS3 was $400 dollars it would be another story. Xbox360 is a great system, but not good enough to beat out PS3. That's just plain and simple.

I hate killzone 0_o. I prefer CS( 8 year old game) to any halo, killzone, or any other casual console FPS for noobs.
And yes Halo is for kiddies, have you been on XBL with it recently? If Halo is for "hardcore" gamers, i dont know what the world is coming to.
The people who lined up for PS3, didn't shell out $600 without doing their research. They knew what was coming for it, and what wasn't. This is why I believe PS3 owners are the hardcore gamers. An 11 year old won't beg for a PS3 so he can play MGS4, an 11 year old WILL beg for a 360 so he can sing over his mic while playing Halo 3. I wouldn't be suprised if that if Lair turns out to be amazing, 2/3 of the PS3 owning population will buy it.
Bioshock will appeal more to PC gamers, and Mass Effect (while it may be amazing), will only appeal to a small number of 360 owners.
