For those of you that live in the US, will you be buying an Xbox One?

I live in the US, and after I read another post today stating that Microsoft would not change their policies, I have decided that I will not be supporting the X1 next generation.

Since Microsoft seems to be marketing to the US and very few other countries, I was wondering how users here feel that live within State lines.

I have seen how members here living outside the US feel, and I have often seen the remarks like "So screw anyone outside the US?"

However, I wanted to get a better picture of how those of you feel that can get the FULL experience day 1.

No I'm getting a PS4 to go with my Wii U and 3DS.

Nope. PS4 all day erryday.

i will build a new pc this fall and give the x1 and ps4 a couple of years to build up their libraries.

i normally early adopt almost everything that comes out but i'm not going to bother this time around.

as far as the bigger implications or how important people that hang out here are concerned i will be pretty surprised if both the ps4 and x1 don't sell out this fall.

tbo, the kinds of people that hang out on game sites are just not a large enough audience to worry about.

I live in canada and I won't be buying a PS4(need to watch Sony's E3 conference to confirm my decision) or XB1 at this time. The xbox one is to expensive and I don't like the DRM and used games policy on the console even though I can deal with them. The games look awesome and I may eventually buy the console for the games.The PS4 did not really impress me that much when it was revealed and from what I been hearing the PS4 was a disappointment at Sony's E3 conference.I need to watch that conference to verify this.I will only be buying a WiiU in the next year or so.

eventually. maybe after the price drops. none of the drm or conspiracy theory issues bother me. it's just too pricey right now and there aren't any must have games yet.

I agree with what you are saying.

I just wish Microsoft would have made a commetn stating that they are considering changing their plan, and not the other way around. However, they did kind of leave their statement open a little bit, so who knows.

If they change their policies I would buy one in a heartbeat.

There is a video on youtube on the frontpage that is trending about how Playstation lends games... it has like 1 million upvotes andonly a few thousand downvotes. I truly hope that Microsoft come tho their senses.

How is the Xbox marketed toward the US? The United States has terrible internet capabilities when you get past high populated areas...fueled-system

Being in one of those areas I completely agree with you.

It's those kinds of policies and arrogant way of thinking in why I made the decision I did.

No, I don't agree with their policies(internet required, drm, lending games, and always on kinect).Let alone the fact that their lineup doesn't appeal to me.

I'll be honest and say I want one just for it's exclusive content that I won't be able to play on Sony's platform. The always online doesn't effect me, but I'm a retro gamer/collector who enjoys gaming from previous generations - so what happens when the Xbox One servers shut down for whatever reason and the only why to buy older games are used? or even new? Will I be able to play them?

Why so many RULES! "Friends for more then 30 days, 10 people in your household, needs to scan your game once every 24 hours, needs to be recoded to sell or give to someone, needs Kinect, always watching and will advertise the shit your eating and drinking or wearing...etc" :?

It's just very confusing at the moment and nothing seems clear cut.

That is why I made it. I know the way I feel about it, but I was unclear whether the ones on here saying they supported it were from the US or not.

I thought maybe it was a country related oyalty kind of thing... so far, that does't seem to be the case, however, there i no way for me to filter out other votes coming from outside the US either... heh

I mean, Microsoft even said that you could go play Xbox 360... so I think the message was pretty clearto countries not in that map.

Pretty much my answer as well.  Most of the exclusives for it are coming to PC and I have a PC for the media center tasks already.

It sounds like we are in the same situation.

I have been a gamer and game collector for years.

My decision is because of Microsoft's horrible policies. It will sting as a gamer not to get to play someof the bigger exclusives... :(

I just feel that by supporting it would go against everything I love aboutmy favorite industry as a whole...

The day they come to their senses... You can damn well bet I will forgive and forget though :)

Upgrading my PC first. I won't be buying a console for at least another year. I plan on getting an X1 though, but who knows if it is even worth getting in a year. Lots can change in that time.

I will be buying a Xbox One. Ive never bought a Playstation video game console and never plan to. Xbox One seems to be doing better in multiplats than Xbox 360 ever did. 

I want to buy Killer Instinct and Kingdom Hearts 3. 

Yeah I've pre-ordered. I like the ability to play all the exclusives, and I don't see that changing because of used game limitations or always-online restrictions - neither of which effect me. donalbane

I read some impressions about what they were saying about the first hour or so about the conference and it was not pretty.

Why would you want x1? Can't live without Halo or Gears? That's pretty pathetic if you are so stuck on the few exclusives that you wont buy a clearly cheaper & better PS4.
