and you own both a 360 and PS3, which version do you plan on buying???
The reason I ask is that I will be quite shocked if someone who owns both consoles is going to buy the 360 version, despite it's drawbacks, even though both versions cost the same:|.
To me, it's simply a matter of logic. I can say for sure that Spock would buy the PS3 version.
1)If the only difference was the fact that you won't have to switch discs...
2)If the only difference was that the uncompressed CGI cutscenes will look better...
3)If the only difference was that the uncompressed audio(gameplay and cutscenes) will sound better...
4)If the only difference was that the actual gameplay will be "noticeably more crisp" - http://ps3.ign.com/articles/106/1061287p1.html
5)If the only difference was that you'd be playing the game on more reliable hardware...
...it would simply be logical to buy the PS3version since they BOTH COST $59.99:roll:
And just to lay a couple myths to rest, I've heard some people say they might buy the 360 version because of "achievements"? You do know that achievements and trophy's are the same thing right? FFXIII supports both and therefore this is NOT an advantage for either version.
And some have said they would buy the 360 version because "multiplats are always better on 360". Sorry, but if there ever was an exception to this rule, FFXIII is it. See the above link if you want some assurance. FFXIII is NOT another game that was slop-job ported to PS3. It was made on the PS3 first and it takes full advantage of what PS3 can do(maybe even better than Uncharted 2). I've played the import and it runs in 1080p with a rock solid frame rate and very rich, vibrant color. The sound quality is incredible as well.
well, like I said, I can't see the logic in buying the 360 version if given a choice(If you only own a 360, that's a different story). But not all gamers are logical so if you are one of them, please entertain us with your reasons for choosing the inferior version:P.
