For those who haven't, will you ever buy a Xbox 360? Can anything convince you?

Unless you have a serious interest in past games for it, it would be utterly pointless to buy a 360 now. Anyone who has that much of an interest in the past games for it would own it already I would think. There's virtually zero games in terms of exclusives coming out for it that look worth playing. Only I can think of is State of Decay in June, which looks fantastic IMO.

Just a general question to SW, was playing some more Halo Reach today and was wondering how many people don't have a (is it "a" or "an" before X?) Xbox 360, a system with highly regarded exclusives, great multiplats, a pleasent interface, and of course, a source of fanboy arguments everywhere. So as the title says, for those who haven't, will you ever buy a Xbox 360?Blabadon

-It has the least exclusives, and i'm not into auto-aim shooters that are forgotten about by XBLs pre-teen userbase once the new CoD hits.

-It has inferior multiplats they are better on my PC.

-XBL is a scam and my PC services are free and superior in every way.

I ahd a 360 when Alan Wake came out and I barely ever played it, sold it not long after. Personally it was a very boring console

I really have no idea how people put up with such a garbage console. Like seriously... Low IQ and denial after all. The console came first, people jumped-in and then didn't want to change, not even because of RRoD! That's the power of advertising for you, it actually brainwashes people.

I wish I had bought one over the PS3, but now it's too late in the generation, so I'm skipping it.

I tried to play what I wanted on my friends' 360s.

It's a great system.

Not right now but I think I will down the line at some point.

Good games combined with a realistic pricepoint can always convince me.

The only reason I have my Xbox 360 is because a friend gave it to me for a steal (60 bucks, including all the cords, hardrive and controller!) That being said I am glad I got it, because I would have missed out on some great games... Although, I think I have... Four 360 exclusives, being the two Condemned games, Lost Odyssey and FEAR. So basically if I had my way I would actually have a PS3 but I don't have the money for it.

No one cares what you think. Bias comments aren't welcome. There's no comparison to a PC as it's NOT a game console. Not a stagnant system. Not everyone prefers to play on a PC. If they did there wouldn't be over 260 million game consoles sold for just this generation alone.

In any case, if you don't have a Xbox 360 and still want to play some of their best exclusives & multiplat, I'd wait until Microsoft drops the price at the E3. Then go out and buy one after that. There is obviously going to be a lot of price cuts this year, so wait for them. The Xbox 360 has over 950+ games to chose from. So you'll find a LOT to play.

No, they are just smart enough to realize their mistake of buying a 360.

I'll have to figure out what to do with mine. I'll either sell it, or donate it to a worthy cause like a children's hospital. Then again, a charity probably wouldn't appreciate a console that cost $50 a year to play online. Poor kids. :cry:

Serious question. How many of those 950 games are worth anybody's time? This is like the worst argument to justify ANY console... the "overall" library. Nobody is going to play 950 games, and probably 900+ games aren't worth a shit even by the most generous metric anyway. 

Sadly this is true for both "HD twins" this gen. Due to the fact that so many multiplats are on PC, there are probably more worthwhile Wii games to look back on rather than games worth playing on the 360 or PS3.  Anything that isn't exclusive is definitely going to be played on PC by the vast majority of people that care to play older games.

i had a 360 since 06. I played it quite bit till 2011 then fail off for a bit came back 2012. 

I will NEVER go back... literally MS has one thing  they can do for me, and that's it. a TRUE halo 2 remake using game engine has halo 2 for MP.  halo 1 remake SP was cool but, the MP was based off of halo reach engine and it didn't feel right or wasn't good

I had a 360 until some douche took it away from me. It was a christmas gift. Now I play all of the ports on the PC.

I'd still get a 360 if I could but I don't think I really need it right now.

No. None of the consoles thi sgerneation appealed to me. I have played a friends PS3 and it was fun, but not fun enough I'd want one of my own. this generation my systems were PC and DS  and they were hands down the best option. Already having a PC the Wii and 360 are redundant as I can play most of those games on my PC. I also don't support Microsofts buisness practices concerning the 360. I do not like the idea of a online fee. I suppose if I was given a 360 as a gift or won one soemhow I wouldn't sell it, but beyond that I will not be getting a 360.
