For those who lives in Canada, do you buy games at 69.99$ ?

I e-mailed bestbuy a couple of days ago because i wanted to know why games jumped from 59.99 to 69.99$ all a sudden since 3 months or so. Of course they didn'trespond me with a clear answer, hell i know they don't have anything to justify that price raise, but with that i'm wondering how many of you still buy them at 69.99$ ?

I for one didn't buy them when they were 59.99$, i normaly wait to see them on sale for 39.99$ or just buy them used for half the price.

Of course I usually just trade them on the internet

Sometimes, it's usually a exclusive title.

The last game I paid full price for was InFamous.

I usually look for better deals from independent retail stores where I can bargain for sell/trade aspects. I try to stay away from EB Games business simple because the value for me is no where near the value they gain.

With game prices seem to be only rising I'm forced to think twice if the game I spend full price point-out is money well spent.

if i want the game first day i will but if not i will buy it on ebay

It's really beginning to get annoying purchasing games at that price. I normally wait for the game to get a price drop around $30-40 and sometimes $50. The only games I purchased for $69.99 was Resident Evil 5, Sacred 2 and Street Fighter IV.

I always try to get them on sale. That said I wont hesitate buying my games at 70. I'll just cut back on the crap I try. Yeah so R & C and Uncharted 2 anyone? fk yeah!!! Oh and who took advantage of the Batman 38.33 sale ay BB, Walmart FS & EB? I am SOO lucky I got a copy the last day as everywhere I had gone said the whole city sold out.CleanNJerk

Same here i tend to wait for a deal on a new release game for under $50. I got batman:aa for $40, great deal, my local stores had tons of copies left and i went on the last day of the sale. The enxt game ill probely but at full price is uncharted 2(since i madely like the first one) and maybe even nhl 10.

No. I almost always refuse to buy games at $60 CAD (Mirror's Edge was the only exception this generation). The "reason" why they went up was because the Canadian dollar dropped again to $0.70 USD... but is now back above $0.90. So retailers have no excuse not to lower the prices again. The best way we can get them back down again, is refuse to buy games priced at $70 CAD.

The odd thing is though, Wii, DS, PSP, PC and PS2 games didn't go up. Just 360 and PS3. They did the same thing a few years ago too, back before the big economic boom right before the recession.

I've never seen a $69.99 game before. I've seen $64.99 though and i still think its ridiculous.

I don't know where you're all buying them, but at my local EB they're 60$ for console games and 50$ for PC games, even brand new.

I guess the GTA is closer to the shipping hub so it costs less? I dunno...
