For those with Xbox 360 and PS3, which do you prefer?

PS3. The less I use my 360, the less likely it is to get RROD :s Although I did get Rainbow Six for my 360, I usually go w/ the PS3 version, even if there is dlc on the 360 version that's not on the PS3. (I got GTA4 on PS3). Plus I love the PS3 controller. There's a reason why they never changed it for the past 10 years, you know ;)

Owned all the systems this gen, but sold my ps3 do to lack of rpgs and GREAT games (MGS4, R+C and Uncharted where great though).

I like pc gaming the most, then at the same time i still also really enjoy my 360,wii, DS, ps1,ps2,etc..

My ps3 was collecting dust and not many rpgs in the ps3 library as i was hoping, so my ps3 got sold, as it was just sitting there.

I choose the 360. Most of my friends have 360's, the online is great, and I love to listen to my own music while playing games.Heartagram_03

This. plus i like the achievment system better then the trophy system, and my 360 will upscale all my games to 1080p, where as none of the ones i currently own on ps3 will :(

From now on PS3 because....

1. I payed more money for it.

2. Less chance of a console failure.

3. I already have more Xbox 360 games.

4. I like the cases better, smaller, more space efficent.

5. I don't have to pay to play online, which I am going to stop doing.

all PS3 games upscale to 1080p. It even upscales PSone, PS2, and regular DVD's to 1080p. Go to System Settings-> Video Display options. somewhere in there there's the upscaler option. turn it on to 1080p, enjoy :)

Hard to say. I've bought nearly all of my multiplats on my 360, but I am going to start buying them for PS3 so I can build a nice collection of PS3 games. That, plus my 360 controller is near dead.

I'd say 360 is better, but not by much. I think multi-plats are where it's at this gen.

I go for my 360 main reasons in my opinion:

Live > Psn

Acheivements > Trophies

360 controller > PS3 Controller (Find it too light and flimsy feeling plus don't have dual shock)

Plus i do have more friends on live! Like others i have PS3 for exclusives only but have only turned it on for bluray ,to update and play LBP Beta so far, still waiting for exclusive i really want but looks like LBP could be it!

360 without a question or doubt.

I have a Wii, PS3, 360, DS, and PSP, and I try utilize each system so I get my moneys worth.

Even still, my PS3 only gets touched for Blurays, and my 360 gets used so much I worry about getting ANOTHER FREAKING RROD.

I am on my third 360 and find that COMPLETELY inexcusable, yet it still gets the most mileage than any other system. I would have to say my Wii comes in 2nd because my roommates and friends and I have a blast all getting together and playing some fun games.

Sorry PS3, your time will (hopefully) come sooner or later.

This Fall I'm buying most of my mulitplats for the PS3. Yup. Shocking isn't it?

Thats okay. This thread could use all the PS3 love it can get. Although I do not see how 360 has had a bad year.

Oh, I wouldn't say it's been a "bad" year, I'm just quite disappointed in it. I was under the impression that Splinter Cell, Halo Wars and Alan Wake would all be out this year but they all got delayed to '09. I was interested in Too Humane, but apparently it's a turd. So that's 4 games that I thought would be great additions to the 360's 2008 lineup- either delayed or flopped.

If it wasn't for Gears 2, Lost Oddyssey would be the only 360 game I buy for the entire year. But the PS3 has been kicking ass this year so that makes up for it.

Yeah. But I would try to give Too Human a go. Yes, horribly glitched, and just about every bad thing you hear about it is true. Now if it weren't for the fact that they somehow actually made the game amazingly fun, satisfying, and addicting, then I would say ignore Too Human. I consider myself an avid gamer, and would NEVER recomend a crap game to another gamer. With that said, I recomend this game to you, haha.

OK, thanks. I'll download the demo tomorrow and see what it's like. I doubt I'll actually buy it in the near future, there's just way too many great games coming out in the next 2 months or so that demand the attention.
