For you, who has won the console wars so far ?

When I say you, I'm not talking about the sales of consoles because you get no profit, I AM Talking about you enjoying games, features and ...

Microsoft because they make windows, thus making pc gaming.

Sony. I honestly think the shooters for PS3, ie. Killzone and Resistance are better than Halo and Gears. IMO of course. They also seem to have better exclusives in general (R&C for instance).

Free online and region free combatibility are also somethings.

Microsoft, simply because all my friends have 360s.

Well PS3 has the best exclusives...but Xbox live is better than PSN....Nintendo has the classics...
I can't choose.

Nintendo. Despite that the Online Multiplayer leaves much to be desired, I have more games for the Wii compared to my PS3 by both First Party and third party titles. I love both consoles though.

Microsoft for me :D. Kind of cool how Windows Live links with the XBL account as well, so I guess I get the best of both worlds (even though I've got a secret alliance with Steam for my PC gaming :P). DethSkematik

Windows live is the worst user interface for online gaming on pc ever invented.

Ask me a few years ago and I would've said Ninty with the Wii.

In 2010 though, I'm more inclined to say Sony; the best exclusives, free online, Blu-Ray, and a good price (well...at least compared to launch here in the UK).

Going solely on the quality of games, Sony.

Obviously the Wii is winning, sales wise. Personally, given the extended length of this gen, I prefer the direction Sony is taking. I think Nintendo is going to use 3DS as their prime console until new home hardware is ready to launch.

do you really think sony is going to wait when nintendo launches their new system ? i give them 1 year or so but they will be forced to bring out a new console when nintendo does it (same with MS) its just how the industry works. look at 360s advantage over ps3 which was mainly because of the one year headstart. same with the ps2 headstart over xbox or gc . unless your name is dreamcast you will have bad chances when you are late on the market.farnham

Sony & Nintendo equal for me. Sony has delivered some good exclusives and showed you can have a perfectly fine online system without the need for fees. Nintendo has to be respected for taking a big risk with motion controllers and it worked well for them....and their long running ips are still fun as hell.

Handheld wars will be a no contest when the 3DS is released.

Nintendos answer to next gen is the 3DS. The market is saturated with ALL of the big 3. Given the state of the US economy, it doesn't make sense to release a new home console for the time being. In this regard, the Sony brand will become more and more popular because of the direction and expandability of the ps3.

i think the 360 is the best in this generation, and although this is not related to the topic, it kook's like the 360 will be a classic, and remembered in the future like the genesis or PS1 ( and the wii too), imo and point of view of course Wings_008

Uhh, I highly doubt it will be remembered as being in the sameleague as the PS1. It's a good console, yes, but not one of "all time greats". Same for the PS3.

Sony. IMO the ps3 is home to the best games this gen, and yet I have the feeling that the best on the system is yet to come.

the best console so far is the one i own. it's way better than that other one. every game made for it has been amazing and every game for the other one has been TERRIBLE!!! even the ones that came out on both. i love my console, i can't for the life of me understand why you got that other one! that one sucks. mine is awesome and i refuse to even try games on that other one on principal alone.

None. Honestly MS has gone waaay down hill. Ps3 is doing good but it could be doing soo much better, and most of the big games that come out I never really like as much as everyone else does. i.e. infamous, uncharted 2, GOW3 and so on. The wii has been getting alot better as of recently but again still not nearly as good as it could/should be.

imo while this gen started out great its really turning out to be a bust.

Well I have a PS3 so I'll go with that. It's a great machine and has given me some good exclusives. Lately I've been kind of bored with it though.

I think all the consoles are very good and have their own pros and cons. However I can't get over the fact that the 360 is such a faulty machine. I consider it broken out of the box; it's just a matter of time.

Ive had more single player fun from my 360. Mass Effect 1 and 2, Fallout and Oblivion were all amazing. The PC is coming close second as SC2, TF2, the Wither and Stalker series are incredible. The PS3 is last simply because I feel its been more the "blockbuster" console. Amazing one time pop corn experiences that I have no real desire to repeat like GoW3 and Uncharted 2 alextherussian
