For you, who has won the console wars so far ?

Sony won the first half and Nintendo will probably win the second but overall Sony. MS really didn't have much as far as exclusives except forHR and AW.

Microsoft because they make windows, thus making pc gaming.

For me, its PS3. With better exclusive titles, free online and Blu-ray format, it doesnt even compare with 360. Dont give me the cross game chat support crap because videogames are meant to play games, not turn it into some kind of Facebook on steroids.Thats my opinion of course. In general, It looks likethe Wii is winning because its slaughtering the other two when comparing game sales, plus it introduced motion controls which Sony and MS are only now trying to capitalize on.

i say sony because they had a hard time getting out of the gate but when they got out they have been on a roll

In my eyes, I would say that Microsoft made a huge impact with redefining what it means to be "online". Their focus on the concept of community is very apparent in their setup of Xbox Live and even the 360 dashboard.

By "both fronts" I assume you mean console and and handheld sales numbers. I can't imagine it meaning much else because everything else is subjective.

And of course the"for you" will be biased based on the member, but that seems to bewhat's being asked for: Who's your personal winner this generation?

sony has gotten better each year wii started high and has been falling ever since ms rose to its peak in 07 and hasent gotten better in years but its still good. now its just a matter of move and kinect and the first year. but on oct 18 2010 sony is best

the best console so far is the one i own. it's way better than that other one. every game made for it has been amazing and every game for the other one has been TERRIBLE!!! even the ones that came out on both. i love my console, i can't for the life of me understand why you got that other one! that one sucks. mine is awesome and i refuse to even try games on that other one on principal alone.

How'd that work out for the Dreamcast? Their concentration was to get people online. There really was no sense of community since SegaNet's online infrastructure didn't even have the concept built into it.

This gen, we have things like the gamercard, achievements and data that's available to anyone, interoperability with Xbox.com and the Zune. Vocal and visible community managers as well as online, community-focused events.

It's all worked into the DNA of the system. Just take a look at the dashboard with its dedicated community section. Not only that, they have different ways for gamers to connect with one another in ways that make sense. From party features to cross game invites available at the OS level.

It's a direction that the competition is moving toward....with MS leading the way of course.

In my opinion, Nintendo won this gen.

Nintendo with the Wii and DS. Sony is close for me but the combined strength of the two consoles (handhelds ARE consoles, btw, they're handheld consoles) just edges it out. The DS is just legendary with all of its content, and the Wii is seriously picking up steam.

Between the DS and the Wii, I'd say Nintendo. When things all boil down in the end, money talks and BS walks.

I own all 3 consoles, in terms of my personal enjoyment Id have to say it goes, 360 followed very closely by PS3 with Wii in last position.
