3D can't do that, can it.

Real driving simulator :P

cowgriller

was he driving a car or an airplane? wtf? how does the seat dip down or tilt up when drivning on a flat road???

I think the reason the seat tilts so far is an attempt to simulate the g forces that are put on real drivers...

It's nice, BUT:

- Maximum accel/decel is 1G (I have no idea what is achieved in cars, but at least in F1 I'm sure it's way more than that);

- They should add some background so he does not see the movement, because that increases nausea (Ideally it should be inside a black sphere);

wtf... why was that seat moving up/down and so unrealisticly to the sides???

Rather that a racing SIMULATOR device it looked more a stomache puking STIMULATOR :)

I think the extra movement was to simulate your shifts in gravity as you accel/decel and on turns.

Yeah its the only way to get artificial G force.

Do that with future Gundam games, that'd be sick.

And the real deal would be actual driving :P

Not a fan of Gundam, but I'm down for a mech sim like that! :D

If you were in a space shuttle that is.....:roll:

all of the movements were waaaay over exaggerated

The simulator doesn't have inertia hence the movements needs to be exaggerated.

I am surprised people can't understand what it's TRYING to do. I know you have to be at least 13 to register here, I hope some are younger, for their sake.

I guess you've never been in a real car doing performance driving, have you? There are shifts in the g-forces when going around turns or accelerating/decelerating... and the chair moves to simulate that without the actual movement of a car. The seat's movement is a means of directing the simulation of that movement to the person sitting in the chair, giving them a more realistic feel as if they were actually driving a car.

~~~
And if my memory serves me correct, they had something similar to those paired with Forza 3 at the last E3.
was just kidding with my previous comment :)
however the guys who built it are on the right track and will surely keep fine tuning their device..
