:o Holy **** that looks wicked.
Remember last month when 1up did their first preview and everyone (including me) was like "OMG that looks terrible?"Â
Oh how things can change in a month.
UnnDunn
Now if we could all only keep this attitude with Halo 3...
Yup, I was never worried though. Turn 10 said they were dedicating the last 8 weeks for Graphic Polish. Now look at it, it looks close to Photo-Realistic!! 5 weeks is all thats left Guys, I'll see you online in My GTO!Remember last month when 1up did their first preview and everyone (including me) was like "OMG that looks terrible?"

This pic looks Photo-Realistic. I still can't believe this game will run at 60FPS W/ 2xAA. This puts GT HD to shame, and its full 3-D.With every new video , Forza 2 just looks better and better. AAA, textures on road and grass need work, and background buildings need more work doing to them.
ÂHoobinator
I suppose we can nitpick any game, when it gets right down to it.

And we do, so we're all happy :DÂ

Hold on there, don't get ahead of yourself, GTHD still looks better, at least the car models. Plus, F1: championship edition for the ps3 looks almost as good as this game...

Ur fanboy is showing....if u compared the replay vids to the gameplay in GTHD the graphics dont look so hot....
and F1 graphics are on par with this...than why it got a 7 in graphics...on both IGn and GS.Â

No, GTHD still looks at least a little bit better, and if you're going to be calling me a fanboy, stop using scores to tell how good a game looks. It got a 7-ish because the background wasn't "exciting" As in most of the backgrounds were regular F1 racing tracks. Plus the menu system was suppose to be bland too. Otherwise, the graphics were pretty good, very photo realistic...
Here's a comparison of the 2 replay videos of GTHD and forza 2, GTHD still looks a bit better IMO, even though the GTHD vid is a bit blurry...munu9The clarity of the Forza Pic is awesome, plus there a bunch of cars on screen and the background is full 3-D and goes for Miles. GT HD looks to plain too. The car almost looks like a toy sliding around on fake backgrounds. The Backgrounds need an improvement in GT IMO!

Nope the textures are awesome, they look blury on some screen because of the motion blur but when you dont move they are damn crisp.

LOOKS awesome.Â

Cars look to plain? A lotus eclise is plain? You obviously never seen a lotus eclise in real life have you? The GT car looks more realistic than the forza one... And this is a screenshot from a video, the forza one aways keeps camera with the car so that it doesn't blur while the GT camera moves around so the pic looks a little blurry because I had to pause it...
Seriously, if you've actually played GT HD, the background looks really good. It gives a sense of depth... Regardless of the fact that it may not be "full 3D"Â
crap, i cant wait til may to come. only thing i didnt like in this vid is, it doesnt seem to realistic. the proto type cars should of left the corvettes way far behind. but besides that really awesome vid.alfy13
those are souped up corvettes. do you know what kind of modifications you can do to a basic Corvette or Viper?
[QUOTE="Oemenia"]Those asphalt and grass textures look horrendous...Cubs360You can really tell when your blazing by at over 100MPH. I love GT HD's 2D grass. At least this game has sections of 3-D grass. Don't you ever have anything nice to say about 360?

thats funny. Dont forget the physics running behind the scenes and ther realtime damage modeling (not in stages, if you hit your side mirror into something it will fall off, the rear bumper hard enough (or enough times), it will fall of. Take a look at the older vids from march 9 (which is said to be a month old build in the video i believe)Â

I think the reflections on the GTHD car looks better...but then again, it's just ONE CAR. Just one being rendered. And given how subpar the details of the environment look, it's easy to tell their time was spent on getting the car to look as pretty as possible and not a whole lot else. when you look at Forza 2, you have to see more than just the car. you have to consider the processing power going into the crazy physics. the other 7 or 8 cars in the race. the impending damage modeling. the quality textures and details of the environments. it all counts for something and takes away from something. then consider 720p + AA + 60fps.
yes, the *car* in GTHD looks better, but if we added in all the things that make Forza 2 look good, would we presume GTHD's cars would still look the same? I wouldn't.

It does not, Forza's environments are so much better the it's worthless even comparing this two games.
How about gameplay videos, not replays? and while we are at it, why not just wait till forza comes out to see the final build , its doing the last minute graphics tweaks now. Â

Forza 2 does not exist. Â

The only thing bad about the environment is the grass. There are people moving around, flags waving around and if you actually have played the actual demo, the background doesn't look half bad, it gives a good sense of depth. You can instantly access 10 different cars with at least 5 different colors each. Even though you can only use one I think it wouldn't be too much of a problem to get all of those cars at once... plus it's running at 1080p at 60fps... (though the AA needs work). GTHD is still only just a consept demo that came out a year before the actual game (GT5) So I still think, overall, GT5 will look better than forza and will have nearly the same physics (though possibly no damage modelling but WTF, why wasn't there any damage in the forza replay video?)

Ferchrissakes, this isn't Gran Turismo where replays used different rendering from gameplay. All in-engine vids and shots are going to look as good as each other, whether they are replays or in-game.Please Log In to post.
