My point is that exactly, GPL(grand prix legends) was pretty much considered the best racing simulator up until GTR1 hit the shelves. Obviously it had far less physics parameters than GT3 or any game released after 1998 yet it still felt and drove more realisticly.

Just to show numbers are not everything since the game is still considered one of the best racing sim even though it has probably only half if not less the physics parameters of GT3, Toca, F1 games etc...

gtr2 will be comming out for the 360 next month.  forza2 will be out in may.  i expect forza2 to be better.

this proves that GT4 is the real racing simulator cus everyone chooses it over any other game and the sales prove that.

Physics wise I doubt it since there have been several patches/independent mods fixing the physics of GTR2 and Forza 1 was not even close to GTR1 in the physics departement. Everything else Forza owns it though.

Since driving is an integral part of racing, and in both games you drive at very high speeds, I fail to see the difference.

This, my friends, is an intelligent human being...

[QUOTE="GsSanAndreas"]F1 and GT:HD look better.  and considering how good GT:HD looks you can imagin how crazy GT:5 is gonna lookmark4091
doesint really matter how good it looks with no physics and damage.

Its a racing simulator, car damage is just a sort of casual apeal, though personally I think its bad if it has minor car damage, it just seems pointless inless it simulates realistic damage, not just damage....

I have played GT and Forza to death and I honestly think GT won't be able to touch Forza 2. Until GT has a crash model I am not interested in it at all. Having your car undrivable even after minor crashes in Forza 1 was one of it's best features.

GT:HD comparisons….. If the ps3 is all that, they could at least have ported the dumb ps2 ai in GT:HD, and render some ai opponents. Now all it’s good for is producing pretty screens of a lonely car.

wrong, if it were a "Driving" simulator it would be a open ended game but instead your put on a RACE track so u fail. if these games cant be compared then none can. thats like saying u cant compare AoE to AoM.convince me that gthd is a "driving simulator"

Exactly. Cows are scared of Forza's gameplay...they had to dub GTHD (already vaporware) as "driving" simulator in order to stand on its own.

Without rumble, it is not a simulation.

Im not a cow, I was implying that because GT doesnt have many elements that a racing simulation should it isnt a racing simulation. No damage = not a racing simulation, sorry thats an important part of racing, too important to avoid. Fine, its a pseudo-racing simulation.

Damage control, denial, and rule changing junkies are strong in this thread.

This is why I barely post in these types of threads anymore. Its not worth it.

Forza 2 >>>>>> GT 5 is a blind assumption.
