[QUOTE="angryfodder"]I've been playing this quite a bit. I am starting to get the "been here, done this before" feeling - however, thats not really the games fault, i've just put too many hours into all the forza games. My only issues with the game so far is that I am not sure if the AI has taken a step backwards or not. One of the main reasons I loved forza over GT was that the AI was alot better. It really seemed like you were racing. In this latest forza, the AI seems less aware of you? Anyone else feeling that? I am also not sure about the rewind. Yeah I know I don't have to use it. But if its there, I will. It takes the exciting edge off the game a little bit. I've not checked yet - can it be disabled like the other assists?PanosolaYes you can disabled this like the other assists if you want. You can only disable the message that appears after you've screwed up.
I agree that they should have made this toggleable..? Is that a word? Toggable? Customizable. It does alter the way in which you perform on the track. I find myself screwing up more often than I remember doing in Forza 2 as I'm pushing harder and if push too hard it doesn't matter.
But on the other hand I wouldn't want to do without this feature. I think Greenawalt's remark about Codemasters' implementation of it being faulty, is faulty. Don't remember what exactly his problem with it was, but I think it's a good compromise. You have a limited amount of rewinds so you can screw up, but if you do you've got one less try later on in the race, which you might need. So there's still that element of tension. You don't want your rewind supply to dwindle.
They could always patch something like this in, and I hope they will, but I think they won't.
