Yeah. To my knowledge, graphics engines are usually one of the first things finished during game development and, if necessary, are polished from there as development continues. I'm not going to say GT5 isn't going to be an improvement over GT5: Prologue visually but I'm not expecting huge differences either. And yes, a bump up to native 1080p would be pretty huge in this case. As a tech-guru and AVS expert, I have to point out that raw resolution doesn't tell you jack about graphics, nor does raw frame rate. We watch action movies in the theater at 24 fps, including explosive car scenes (James Bond, Fast and the Furious, etc ), and we're more than impressed.-
The problem in gaming is that the listed framerate is the maximum, or for more honest companies, the average. In practice, during demanding scenes, your frame rate will be much lower. For example, you might dip down to 20 fps for a few seconds, which creates noticeable choppiness, or drop down to 25 fps, which is not as smooth as 40 fps.

Of course we have just as many problems with the displays that people use. I would challenge any diehard fan of either of these games, who honestly believes the resolution or framerate is the "make or break" for the experience, to list the brand and model of their TV and sound system. I guarantee you 95% or more of those people will have an HDTV or sound system which has known input lag, visual artifacts, audio artifacts, or other aberrations.

The average person doesn't know jack about the science of video / audio - they're simply looking for "ownage" on an issue they don't fully understand. Ultimately, they just wind up looking ridiculous for fighting over such an issue, especially when they're not going to change their mind on which game to buy anyway.
