I wonder how the clutch will affect cars like the GT-R, 911 w/ PDK, M3 w/ DSG, F430 w/ SMT, etc. that don't actually have a clutch pedal.lowe0
Hmmm, Not sure, I think only one of the cars you listed actually has a standard Semi Auto Gearbox, that would be the Nissan GTR, the others have a manual equivalent But there are more, such as the Ferrari 599gtb, The Enzo Ferrari, and the Mclaren SLR (which actually comes with a standard Auto Box) I can see where you are coming from though, its a interesting problem

Autobraking in multiplayer? That has to be a typo, at least I hope it's a typo.

They have already said the autobraking is basically playing it safe, and is no way at all even close to being the fastest way to brake. it just follows the braking points on the suggested line. So autobrake=slow

[QUOTE="Tobin09"] Well, the physics engine runs at 360FPS instead of 240 now, A new huge feauture to the physics engine is tire deformation, not just visually, but how it affects the contact patch, slip angle, and grip. They've talked about how they simulate lift now, so old/ badly designed cars becouse very unstable, maybe prone to flip, at high speeds. They wen't and took notes from the mclaren's F1 simulator, the one that has had tens of millions invested into it. So I think to say that they are not focusing on the simulation aspect enough, is, well, wrong.

^The same could be said about Gran turimso, becouse they are trying to do NASCAR, and RALLY, and f1(kinda), And circuit. I personally don't belive it. But point is, when your looking for something bad to say, you'll always find it.

Yeah this is a good point. For fans of stock car racing, it is this level of physics, tyre deformation, slipping, friction, airflow, cars flipping that would do a much better job at simulating stock car racing or even open wheel racing than brand names and driver names etc.

If you're truly a fan of simulating Nascar racing then, surely this is the way to go, no?

That and the new LCE news release confirmed a car in the game they are calling the: 2008 Dodge Charger STOCK CAR. Sounds to me like they have liscensed the COT, but not the NASCAR franchise, as they probobly only would if they were doing it right, full season and all, becouse it's cheaper, and the fans get to do all of the painjobs. Which was a big buissness in forza 2.

And I frankly don't know if either console can do the same level of physics detail that Forza/GT at this stage on a full NASCAR-standard field (which can have up to 43 cars on the track at once--kinda makes 12 and 16 cars look sparse by comparison).

And perhaps this should go as a warning to GT fans looking forward to NASCAR--expect compromises to be made concerning NASCAR--either there won't be that many cars in the field or the cars that will be there won't be as fully handled as the rest of the game. The computation power doesn't appear to be there to go all out with 43 cars.
