Forza 3 Vs. GT5

If you could only play one of these games and never the other, which one would you play and why?

Two sources have stated that Forza 3 will look better than GT5 and quote, "shock", however Gran Turismo games always deliver

Neither, they won't live up to my hype, although the slight edge goes to GT5, sadly.

I'll take the one that more hardcore gamers choose, so Forza 3 for me.

Im sticking with GT5, prologue was meh but its only a taster of whats to come so it cost less.:P hopefully they make a lobby system or a party/private race system for the actual release of 5.

Had Forza 1 and i did enjoy it but i just like GT4 a lot better since it had a better selection of tracks,cars and it just felt more fun to play imo.

You know it, i know it, everyone knows it.

The only reason both Forza's have been able to outscore GT4, is because of the online component of the games and because Reviewers don't know cars.

In forza you can't even tell the difference when you upgrade the car. It feels the same..the speed just goes faster, the turning goes better without even doing anything.

In gran turismo...if you make it go faster...you better make sure you end up upgrading every other part of the car. Tuning the transmission so you can win. In gran turismo you can actually tell when you purchase newer and better suspension..your turning is transformed..your car is steadied.. In Forza...it doesn't even feel if the car has suspension. It's comparable to Ridge Racer driving then Gran turismo.. Gran Turismo Stomps it. Your car feels more real in GT.. That's tuning..Not painting your cars with other games characters..If you think that's good then you're a ******* *****.

Forza 3 won't have better graphics either..it's pretty much impossible isn't it? Going up against a perfectionist of a developer. You can't really win the in the detail section of the games.

and Prologue shouldn't be seen as something we will see in the future...becuase here in Australia we got the GT4 prologue...and Gt4 was nothing like the prologue...i still have it...it's actually pretty bad compared to the final game.

and doesn't anyone think that Polyphony will absolutly blow us away this time... I say, thankyou microsoft for bringing out Forza...Now, Polyphony can wake up and deliver a fantastic game. Thankyou, competition.

I owna ll the games from both series, and im a HUGE fan of both, but IMO Forza is the new king.

GT5, I know it will be better

Since I've played through Forza 2 already and don't expect them to completely reinvent the game for 3, I'd go with GT 5.asylumni

GT4 has 700 cars and a whole bunch of tracks of all over the world(and professional drivers use the them to train for IRL races)
realistic driving with a pint of arcade for everybodies liking

but if forza can outgraphic GT5 I'd be very impressed

This argument is too weak.There isnt even a single screenshot of Forza 3 and yet people are talking about graphics.Will just have to wait and see for real.

If the blu ray is fully utilized by the GT5 devz..Theres NO WAY in HELL,Forza 3 is even gonna come close to GT5.And now GT5 doesnt even lack online,its going to be a tough match and we all know whose going to be the winner,but this time not only by sales but most probably for the first time,by scores too.

Gran Turimos career modes are always amazing in my opinion. If GT5 doesn't screw anything up then it'll easily be better than Forza 3.

I choose GT5. I've never owned an Xbox so I don't know a thing about Forza.

I like both series but gameplay wise Forza has been kicking GT's butt for a while now. If Forza 3 can get near GT's graphical quality then there will be no reason for me to buy GT5.

Don't you want progression and growth in the series?

That's like comparing the original Gran Turismo to Need For Speed Hot Pursuit. Forza 3 is going to be so far ahead of Gran Turismo 5 in terms of recreating the real-life racing experience... GT5 will be an arcade racer by comparison.

There will probably be more of a difference between GT 4 and GT 5 (since they are for different generations of consoles) than Forza 2 & 3. In reality, I'll probably get both, but for the sake of this thread, I could only choose one and I've had my Forza fix this gen.

Ive never played a Forza game so ill go with GT5 since i played the games since the ps1 days (ohh memories :cry:)
