thats cool
some of us arent impressed by graphics that rely on pre-damaged car models, or car models that are giant blocks and dont have doors, hoods, or bumpers that exist as physics based properties during a race
As much as I love Forza 3, I can't agree with you overall. While I do think that Forza 3's environments are top notch and above what we've seen for GT5, the car models and lighting in GT5 are just better than Forza 3 based purely on what we've seen of the game so far.

I'm interested in that also.
Unless he's comparing to GT5: Prologue which doesn't make sense (not saying that GT5 will look better than prologue, however it still makes no sense).

There is no MSAA in 1080p mode, also in the newest demo the cars looked better in Forza 3(the video was moving really slowing on my comp for some strange reason, I didn't watch). Also the livery editor is something that take up resorces. Also, the complexity of the driving model is suprior in forza.
According to the other thread the TC made, he hasn't even held a ps3 controller.. So don't really listen to what he says

There is MSAA in 1080p mode "Invoke the might of 1080p, and the framebuffer is set at 1280x1080. That's a 50 per cent resolution increase over 720p mode, with AA dropped to 2x."http://www.eurogamer.net/digitalfoundry/

actually yeah there is for GT5p, its 2x msaa at 1280x180, and 4x msaa at 1280x720 and the complexity of the driving model is superior in forza? according to who? turn 10 and their random 360hz physics number? nfs shift does 400, theyre just numbers1 game took 2yrs. and $20 million to develop, the other took 5yrs and $60 million+ to develop.
I do think GT5 has more consistently high quality lighting, and obviously more cars on track.
FM3 is incredible though, and totally deserving of it's 9.5 score. Unless you have both a 360 and PS3, there's really no need to worry about which game is better. Even then, GT5 will release 1 full year after FM3, so why not enjoy both at that rate.
I agree that cockpit view is the only way to play. Things just look and play way better from inside the car.
Here's some FM3 screens I took...

thats cool, i guess thats why its called prologue and not just GT5 and arent sims about authenticity? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C04fLAsGay4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0EjjkVCjvI you tell me which seems more authentic to the actual veyronCar models? GT takes the cake.
Environments? Forza, but a little overexaguarated. Its like Final Fantasy levels :P GT has more of a realism approach
Forza cant graphically compete with NFS Shift, yet alone GT.
[QUOTE="racing1750"]Car models- GT5 Enviornments- Forza 3 Lighting- GT5killzowned24I dont know why people think forza has better enviroments. Here is a comparison of the same map and car showing GT with double the cars still looking better having better texture and not being a dithered mess.
youre right, it is a demo, which is why im ok with it dropping to 52Forza has the better environmental textures/ environments period and in the latest compairson FM3 is looking better(car wise). Yes, you can say it is a 200mb demo but the fact is is that the frame rate dropped to 52FPS at one point, with 1-2 cars on screen.
MC3887
maybe it dropped to 52 because it actually has fully modeled interiors during the 3rd person cam

I am also curious.what does blowing it out of the water mean? or is that another baseless claimGT5 is a failure. With the budget and development time, it should be absolutely blowing F3 out of the water. The fact that it is still actually debatable is either terrible for PD or very impressive for Turn 10.
T-Aldous
I guess I just care more about the car models and dash. Buttt. Have you played GT5 yet? If you did, please, can you get me a copy too?

Active aero is an animation not texture/polygons, lol, I am not even nit-picking as bad as you and I could really pick at GT if I wanted to and they you would say, "it is a demo".

has anybody noticed the seriously bad quality of the sponsors on the racing cars in forza 3? check them out next time and you'll notice.
forza still suffers from being set in really boring environments. i'd say it looks no better than gt5p so i'd assume when gt5 eventually comes out it'll look a decent way better than forza 3 does. but then it should since it's coming out much later. what shocks me is that turn 10 can't make forza look better than gt5p
