Round 2, Fight...
Erm, comments?
@ronvalencia:
Which is which?
I thought second one looked better than first but I have no idea which game is which since racers all mesh together.
I thought the third one with the sun breaking in clouds was cool as well.
Neither is really drastically better than the other. Just go around in circles anyway :). I wish it had varied gameplay like cinematic movie games.
Forza 7 on a GTX 1080Ti on PC (Windows 10)
If you are only comparing on console, Forza looks better ingame.
Forza looks better to me in several areas not just res. That guy is playing on easy difficulty though lol, bump it up a notch
@ronvalencia:
Two different games with different art styles. Terrible comparison! It would only make sense if you compared graphics of the exact same game to how it performs on both consoles.
Not a very good or extensive comparison with different track conditions, limited views, etc. The Forza track looks less impressive when it dry (compared to when it's wet), bad compression as well.
The interior view seems a little off as well.
Here's the source he used for Forza, and is worth watching.
Bad URL for his GT source.
Lightning is crap in Forza 7 compared to GTS.
which video has lightning?
There is lightning in the source video for Forza, though no visible lightning bolts, and the clouds phase in and out instead of moving in and out (though this would hardly be noticeable while playing).
Forza looks better and will probably be a better game. Congrats for having a good racing game series lems. I hope that alone justifies your $500
Forza looks better and will be the better game. That being said, both look very boring. I much prefer the Forza Horizon series and Mario Kart series when it comes to racers. I like my games to be fun. The mainline Forza and Gran Turismo are so sterile and bland. They aren't for me.

What? They're both going for photo realistic graphics. How is that different art styles?
Both gonna look gorgeous running on the Pro and the X on my TV. I'm getting a wheel for the PS4 though, PSVR is the tiebreaker. Hey, since I have the right group (mostly) I'll ask: anyone else love the M$ E3 reveal of the new Porsche 911 GT2 RS? The least that Forza clown could do is talk about it for thirty seconds though, specs/price/something geez. Car is gonna be sick though.
I think the wet track on Forza looks way better than the dry track. However, I do feel like they're over doing with the water reflections.
@asylumni: yeah on dry track both look pretty similar. I was wondering why compare a wet track to a dry one other than if your objective is to mislead.
I would have thought, being the supreme tech aficionado that you are, you would have gone for a more stringent comparison approach without so many differences...
That being said, I think it's almost a given that F7 is going to look better in general, and I do think GT Sport is on the highway to a "7" or so. Doesn't look that exciting to me. But yeah, that comparison above is kinda poorly done
@kingtito:
Same goal, different approaches from both teams. Maybe you like Gran Turismo more or Forza, either way they didn't make their games look the same intentionally.

How so? Aren't both games going for the SIMish gameplay? Aren't both going for photo realistic graphics? The only differences I see is brighter lighting and less terrain details on GT. I think they're both going for the exact same thing.
@kingtito:
Lots of games try to go for photo realistic graphics yet they all manage to look different. It's not unheard of. Look at NBA 2K and NBA Live.

That's true but your original statement you said they're 2 different games and they're different art styles. They're not different games and not different art styles. They're both going for the exact same thing. I do agree it's a bad comparison but not because they're going for different things.
@kingtito:
Yeah, you got me there about the art style thing but I stick to my other point. Same goal, different means to get there. Personally, Gran Turismo bores me to tears so Forza is my go-to no matter how it looks.

I haven't been into the SIMish console racers since GT 2. Right now I'm heavily into IRacing.
@no_bo_dy_83: Why should it be compared to FM6 or FH3? FH3 doesn't make any sense, since it's a completely different experience
Either way it doesn't look $100 better than GT.
True, it looks $200 better.
Shit just $200, I was thinking more like $400 better. GFX like that Microsoft should be charging us at least 900-1000 for the box so at $499 I feel like I am stealing from Microsoft!

Ok, $401 better. :)
Having played both the latest GT Sport build on the show floor has noticeable jaggies and weird backgrounds that change in graphics quality. Forza has way better sound, way better AI.
Not to mention all the intangibles. Forza has more tracks, better customization, 700 cars and is just an overall better game.
Not really a contest.

I was watching yamauchi's recent e3 presentation and GTS only has 140 cars with other minimal content. WTF is wrong with Polyphony they need to sell the shit for $20 maybe. They are trying there best to produce the biggest flop this generation.
