MS made the decision to put it's games day one one Game Pass so I don't really care which benefits them the most.

Oh man the X is making the PS5 look like a mid gen upgrade. Can't wait, Horizon 3 and 4 were superb and this one just looks insane.

Why hasn't Rockstar, one of the biggest developers in the world made any new games in the past 3 years?

Why is Activision not interested in presenting the new COD they have ready this year?

Because making and selling games is no longer the way gaming companies turn a profit.

It's all about recurring spending.

Wether you buy Forza Horizon for 1 or for 59.99, it really doesn't make any difference. It's how much you spend on microtransactions that is the only number that counts to these businesses.

They are owned by MS so they don't care.. it is not like the developer of FH5 will get more $$ if they sell the game vs GamePass

When a 3rd party game is on Xbox (not an IP owned by MS) they get their $ ahead of time because MS pays them for it to be on Gamepass so this "buy the game to support the developers" is a very dumb argument

You can buy a hundred games for 60 and all the devs can get fired.

You can play five years worth of Gamepass for 1 and all the devs can get a promotion.

It really makes no difference what you and I do. The industry will always do its own thing.

Don't care what SolidGame thinks, all I know is that I'm super hype to play FH5 on my PC and its a day one purchase on Steam. Love everything I'm seeing so far. With RT being added, this game will put MSFS to shame.

This game looks great. Another win for GamePass.

I just hope it's greatly optimized like FH 3 and 4 were.

I can easily scale down the graphics if it gives me better performance.

FH4 on Ultra gave me 80fps on 4K.

So for FH5 I'm hoping for 60fps on 4K with high settings.

You're clearly trolling but I'll bite.

First, we'll establish that not every user is playing on $1 trial but for the sake of argument (and to prevent you from moving the goal posts), we'll go with the trial theory.

Prior to Game Pass, Horizon 3 sold 2.5m copies. Let's assume each copy was bought new (which isn't true of course). That's $150m dollars.

Now let's assume ALL 23m (numbers as of April) Game Pass members are only paying $1 a month for trials. That's 276 million if my math is correct.

So, according to YOUR flawed rationale, seems those $1 trials support the devs almost twice as much as $60 sales.

That's the allure of Game Pass for developers and howit pays for itself

@navyguy21: your argument has a few very large holes in it, enough for me to stick my toes in. Gamepass has over 100 games. MS can't designate all of its profits to just one game. Try defusing that one 😎

I'd be surprised if constantly doing the $1 trial is not breaking terms and conditions.

Either way its a shady way to play games and the majority of people will not being doing it.

Gamepass is the best thing to come to gaming. (a big fullstop)

The mountains and Beach's are the highlights I seen and they are amazing to see. I don't think you could have environments looking that good with actually characters and action gameplay. Cars aren't as graphically intensives as action characters doing crazy stuff. If Playground Games could make something like Fable look like this, then it would be the greatest looking game ever.

Pretty sure most people are talking out the arse when they say they constantly use £1 trail. Unless they constantly set up new accounts and use VPNs etc. Which sounds like a proper faff for the sake of a £11 a month.

Another hit Forza game while Gran Turdismo 7 is still TBD 2022. Day One Game Pass too. This'll hit Cows hard in a few months.

This game looks so damn good and I can not wait to play it. It is the game I am most looking forward to this year.
