The story:
More than 11 million people have played a Forza title on Xbox One, Microsoft has announced. In addition, Forza is the best-selling racing franchise of this generation in the US according to NPD data.
Over three million players are racing in Forza games each month.
Coinciding with the 11 million milestone, Microsoft and Turn 10 have announced the Forza Racing Championship, which welcomes players of all levels to hone their skills as they compete for glory and real-world prizes.
"Competitions will be open and competitive for all, from brand new players taking their first laps, to the fastest virtual drivers in the world. Forza Racing Championship will be home to the best and most inclusive racing competition in gaming – where everyone has a chance to win, no matter how many miles they have behind the wheel," explains Xbox Wire.

In addition, Microsoft has begun dishing out the free download codes for the 2016 #66 Ford GT Le Mans race car to all gamers who have played Forza Motorsport 6.
A new Forza title is set to be revealed at E3 next week.

That's 3 games: Forza 5, Forza Horizon 2 and Forza 6 combined and if the active fanbase is at 3m no matter if it's cumulative, that's pretty neat. 11m players overall had played those games. Surely it couldn't amount to 11m copies actually sold but it definitely must be higher than 3m in total. Good job Turn 10. I wonder if next Forza is gonna be a rally one or another Horizon.
